Extremely Disappointing Experience — Beware of the Fine Print
I had electrical work completed by Mr. Sparky on 8/21/2026. Technician Charles Duncan installed a 240V outlet in my garage for a quoted price of $1,169.
Before starting the job, I was away at work when Charles called to advise me that he would need to make “small holes” in my garage ceiling to route the wiring. He assured me that the holes would be small and could simply be painted over. Because I was at work, I was not there to see what was being done. When I returned home and saw the work, I was shocked to discover that Charles had cut approximately 17 large square openings throughout my garage ceiling and walls. This was absolutely not what I understood or agreed to when I was told there would be “small holes.”
When I questioned the damage, Charles told me that he had spoken with his GM, James, and that James had agreed to have the drywall repaired. Charles completed the electrical work around 11:00 PM and again assured me that I would hear from James on Monday, 8/24, regarding the repairs.
Monday came and I had not received my invoice or heard from anyone. I contacted Mr. Sparky and was told that the invoice would be emailed to me and that someone would contact me about the drywall repairs. Neither happened that day.
I called again on 8/25. I finally received my invoice four days after the work was completed—and noticed something extremely concerning. The invoice now stated: “Mr. Sparky is not responsible for drywall repairs.”
That statement was not on the original receipt I signed when the work was completed.
I immediately contacted Charles about the discrepancy. He told me that James was in a meeting and would contact me afterward to schedule the repairs.
On 8/26/2026, I still had not heard from anyone regarding the damage or a resolution. I called Mr. Sparky again and was told that my complaint had been sent to the Escalations Department and that I should hear from someone later that day.
As of today, 8/28/2026, I have STILL not been contacted by anyone regarding a resolution.
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I agreed to a $1,169 electrical installation—not to have my garage left with 17 large holes that I would then have to pay hundreds of dollars to repair.
The biggest issue is not simply the damage; it is the lack of communication, failure to follow through, and apparent change in position after the work was completed. I was repeatedly told that the drywall would be addressed, only to later receive an invoice stating that Mr. Sparky was not responsible.
At this point, I have made multiple attempts to contact the company, spoken with representatives, contacted the technician, and was even told that my complaint had been escalated to the Escalations Department. Yet eight days after the installation, I still have no resolution and no one from the company has contacted me to address the damage.
I would strongly recommend documenting everything, getting any promises regarding repairs in writing, and carefully reviewing the final invoice before allowing the work to be completed.
Mr. Sparky, this is not acceptable. I am asking you to stand behind what your technician represented to me and take responsibility for the damage caused during the installation. I should not have to repeatedly chase your company for a resolution to damage that occurred during a service I paid $1,169 to have completed.

Phillip Moore from Mr. Sparky came to help us with an outdoor security light that had been damaged in a storm. He was able to take care of the situation efficiently and professionally. My husband fell outside while Phillip was there. Phillip stayed with us until he knew my husband was okay. Above and beyond service.

I made this appointment five days ago and specifically asked for electrician Andrew Brook who had done a wonderful job in the past for me. In fact I had a fire in my electrical panel and Andrew worked on my house for over two weeks. The bill was around 40K! I made sure I was home today as the appointment was for 8a-noon. I just got a text that another electrician was on his way to my house. I called the number on the text and got a woman in dispatch who was not at all concerned about how inconvenienced I have been. She gave me Andrew Brook’s phone number to call myself. Which I did and left a message. If Andrew Brook didn’t work for your company you would lose me as a repeat customer. Unbelievable incompetence.

Mister Sparky has heart.
I had a hazardous condition with a busted breaker but was concerned about loosing ny shirt. I called on Sunday evening and they had a tech here in less than 24 hours. The truck was branded and communication was excellent.
Pricing was very competetive. Even for a DIY'er.
My Tech was Joe. Joe is brilliant, efficient, fast and most importantly of all, professional. He was kind, courteous, polite, Friendly and on time. Got my breaker swaped out in minutes.
Thanks again Joe, yall have exceeded my expectations and have earned my business for good.
Best Luck,
FIVE STARS

My experience with Mr. Sparky was absolutely awful. When I was booking the appointment they never explained that they required a credit card before the technician would show up, nor did they ask for one. Next morning Karen calls leaves a voicemail that sounds like spam, not saying what company she was from, didn’t say my address correctly and only saying she needed to talk to me. Karen proceeded to call my tenant and told him she would cancel the appointment if he didn’t provide a credit card or get me to call her back in 5 minutes. I did call her back and told her to never call my tenant asking for money, I specifically asked the person booking the appointment to direct payment requests to me. Karen was very rude and not helpful when I had questions, treated me like I was the issue.
I needed 4 can lights replaced in the kitchen. I already had the replacement lights, the estimate from the technician was strictly take the old cans out, put the new ones in, 12 wire nuts in total. Job could easily be done in less than an hour. Estimated job price - $636.00. I turned them away and was still charged the $49.00 estimate fee. They would have charged me $685 in total, and I provided the lights already.
Way beyond overpriced, gouging customers for profit seems to be the motto with Mr Sparky. If I could leave less stars on this review I would. Don’t use Mr. Sparky.
