Great experience from requesting a service appointment to the repair. Reliable sent Tyler who called ahead to let me know his arrival time and to talk with me about the issues I was having with my A/C unit. He quickly assessed the problem, replaced a bad capacitor and checked that my system was cooling properly. He represented the company so well with his pleasant and professional manner. So glad I opted for the service and maintenance plan this year- paid for itself today.
This was my third experience with Elliott (Matthew) from Reliable, and once again, he was excellent. He originally installed our tankless water heater, returned to service it last year, and has consistently been professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough each time he has been to our home.
What I especially appreciate about Elliott is his communication. He takes the time to explain what he is doing, answer questions clearly, and make sure I understand everything without making the conversation feel rushed or unnecessarily technical. He is also respectful of our home and clearly takes pride in doing the job correctly.
After three consistently positive experiences, I feel very comfortable recommending both Elliott and Reliable. It is reassuring to know that when we need service, we have someone we can trust to be knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely pleasant to work with. Thank you, Elliott!
Let me begin by saying that we had been without air conditioning for almost two weeks after the compressor failed on our approximately 12-year-old system. Our home warranty company flat-out denied our claim over technicalities, so in the middle of this diabolical Georgia heat, we were making hard life choices and trying to figure out how we even got here. đ
Needless to say, we interviewed multiple HVAC companies and ultimately chose Reliable Heating & Air. In all honesty, we had a great experience from beginning to end.
We upgraded from a five-ton, single-stage, SEER 12 Carrier system to a five-ton, two-stage, SEER 17 Goodman system.
Nathan, our comfort consultant, was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly thorough. I had done a lot of research and came prepared with plenty of detailed questions about the equipment, zoning, airflow, and ductwork. Nathan took the time to answer every question, double check measurements, and ensure the recommended system was appropriate for our home. He never made us feel rushed or pressured, never tried to upsell us on unnecessary products, and never bad mouthed the competition. His professionalism gave us confidence in making such a significant purchase.
Blake Sullivan, our installer, was equally impressive. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny, which made a long installation much more enjoyable. Most importantly, when the original furnace arrived damaged, Blake refused to install it and made sure we received a replacement in proper condition. I truly appreciated that he prioritized quality and doing the job correctly instead of cutting corners just to finish quickly.
The installation was completed carefully, all our questions were answered, and the new system is working beautifully. Our house cooled down so quickly that Iâm already considering pulling out a space heater, which is definitely not a complaint!
Our bodies spent almost two weeks acclimating to an 85 degree indoor rainforest, so 77 degrees now feels like weâve been medically induced into hypothermia. Meanwhile, my new Goodman has barely clocked in and is whispering, âI havenât even shown you what I can do yet.â
As an unexpected bonus, the outdoor condenser is significantly larger than our old Carrier. It looks like it could cool my house, my neighborâs house, and the entire subdivision! The unit is a beautiful dark gray that perfectly complements the aesthetic of our home and landscaping. It was as though the heavens looked down and said, âThey have suffered in the heat long enough. Give them an outdoor unit that matches their mulch.â
Thank you to Nathan, Blake, Jason, and the entire Reliable team for making the process so smooth and reassuring. I would absolutely recommend Reliable Heating & Air!

I have been with Reliable for over 10 years and received great service. But Sunday my upstairs air went out. Out of town guests had just arrived. I called Reliable who said earliest they could schedule was Wednesday from 4-8pm. I explained about my guests , also explained I am 71 with respiratory problemsâŚ. didnât matter .. couldnât come till late Wednesday. All guest bedrooms are upstairs so everyone has been sleeping on sofas or loveseats downstairs. At 6pm tonight, they called to cancel and reschedule. I went ballistic because I had rearranged my schedule to be here at that time and inconvenienced my guests as well. When I asked why I wasnât at least notified before the scheduled time slot, no one could give me an answer. I was informed no manager was available to speak with because managers come and go at different hours. I was not sent a confirmation email or text for the rescheduled time slot and no one could do anything about that either. So Reliable is anything but. Their promise of 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed is totally bogus. They also state if you buy a new system , it will be installed the next day or get 500 dollars back. How come they have the ability to have enough technicians available on a dayâs notice, but not enough technicians to make repairs or cover emergencies? I guess a company that big is just big on false promises.

I hired Reliable Heating & Air to perform maintenance on the HVAC systems in a home I had just purchased, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
The technician they sent had only been on the job for about a month. I have security camera footage showing that he simply sprayed the outdoor units with a hose. He did not use coil cleaner, remove the top of the unit, or clean out the leaves and debris inside the condenserâservices that were supposed to be included in the maintenance.
When I called customer service, they confirmed that those items should have been performed, yet they werenât.
The problems didnât stop there. The technician also told me the refrigerant levels were good. A week later, I had another HVAC company inspect the system, and they showed me that it was approximately 5 pounds low on refrigerant and needed to be recharged. That is a significant issue that should have been identified.
Despite the companyâs name, I found Reliable Heating & Air to be anything but reliable. They have polished customer service and a large call center, but the actual quality of the work I received was unacceptable.
I also signed up for one of their maintenance programs because it sounded like a good value. When I canceled after this experience, I was charged over $300. At that point, I simply wanted nothing more to do with the company.
One thing that also concerned me was how strongly the technician pushed me to leave a 5-star review before I had any chance to verify the quality of the work. It makes me wonder how many of their positive reviews come from customers who were encouraged to post immediately rather than after confirming the service was actually completed properly.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe other homeowners deserve to know about my experience. Based on what I experienced, I cannot recommend Reliable Heating & Air. My advice is to choose a reputable local HVAC company that takes pride in doing the job correctly the first time.
