When our rental property in Land O' Lakes flooded (winter 2025) due to a blocked drain, we contacted Showalter Construction & Restoration because of their great reviews. Thank goodness we did.
Robert came out immediately, and was so knowledgeable and patient, and walked us through every step. His advice dealing with our $80K+ insurance claim was invaluable. When mold was discovered, the team communicated constantly, even after hours.
Thea was a lifesaver. She stayed on top of our insurance company, made sure all documentation was received, and handled the back-and-forth seamlessly. Juan Carlos ran the show when Robert wasn't available and was just as amazing.
They completed water mitigation, mold remediation, a second water remediation, completed a pack-out to protect all the contents of the damaged areas, then rebuilt everything better than before: floors, walls, trim, paint, cabinets. Every damaged surface was made brand new at a fair price, and our insurance fully reimbursed us.

They showed up promptly the day we had a water pipe burst in our concrete foundation and coordinated with a plumber to re-pipe the house. Their remediation efforts and follow-on repairs including drywall, painting and reflooring were done expeditiously. We were able to move back in less than a month after the water pipe burst. They also coordinated with our insurance company to ensure that our charges were fully documented and successfully reimbursed. Truly excellent customer service!

Our house was damaged when a vehicle ran off the road and into our front room. After filing an insurance claim we really didn’t know what to do. After a little research we called Showalter Construction Co. The staff were very kind, courteous and efficient, Within hours Robert visited our house, accessed the damage and came up with a plan of action to repair our home. He carefully explained each step, we went from feeling helpless to feeling confident that in time everything would be fixed. Within days a cleanup crew arrived and did an excellent job. Any time I have called with questions they are always answered. We are just starting the process of repairing our home but have every confidence that Showalter Construction will do an outstanding job.

Trusting Showalter Construction and Restoration was the best thing our family could have done after such a traumatic event. They’re skillful, thorough, and make customer care the most important part of the process.
Showalter went above-and-beyond in helping my parents after Hurricane Michael in October 2018. They are fully licensed and insured to accomplish every task, and have earned the trust and confidence of everyone in our family. They're transparent with every task and provide realistic expectations so there are no surprises (remidiation, restoration, permits, gov't inspections, etc).
We did multiple searches for help all around the region. We looked at price, location, reviews, specialty, and Showalter was consistently near the top of every search. We contacted a few companies for estimates for the dry-out / saturation mitigation, demo, roof work, and reconstruction, and Showalter was the only company that had all the right credentials for every part of the restoration. They're the only ones that were available in a reasonable time, and they were clear about their techniques and their limitations.
Robert arrived to assess the damage to the house & property a couple days after we called them. He impressed us by communicating consistently and answering ALL our questions over the span of many hours including a conference telephone call with family and contractor friends. Though he had other clients, he made my parents and our whole family, feel like we were his only concern. He literally sat in the backyard fielding every question as if we were his only client.
Robert took the time to explain the whole claims process from start to finish in terms that every could understand. He explained how his services are applied within that whole process, and the details that are rarely discussed like the mental stress my parents should expect to face at times. Only after he was sure we understood the concept of each step did he discuss the finances of the process. Robert was not pushy, rather he was realistic with the payment of the project as another step in the process. His goal was obvious; to ensure my parents understood the operation as a whole and ensured he had their trust and comfort with the process regardless of whomever did the work. He spoke on a peronal level and identified evidence-based results and experiential moments, he never insulted their competition or make any sort of derogatory remarks about anybody.
After a traumatic event like this hurricane, Robert Showalter’s assessment proved to be as therapeutic for my parents as his work is efficient.
Showalter and his team made a great effort to communicate and provide rational and reasonable expectations. There were no surprises; some of the matters that arose were already discussed as possibilities (sea wall, pipes, etc). The entire crew Showalter brings are some of the most professional people I’ve ever encountered. Their team worked so competently & diligently that the process seemed to be quicker than previously imagined, which is great because the sooner the house is fixed the better!
Other companies were vague or ambiguous with their process and pricing, and public records now show many of those companies were simply a shady practice wishing to steal people’s money in a time or crisis. The Showalter Team is transparent; everything they communicated has been proven true, and they were honest every step of the way.
Showalter Construction is amazing company. Their entire staff is very professional. If you are considering using a company during the clean up from Hurricane Michael or for any other reason, please dont heistate to call them. Robert never asked for any money up front and they did an amazing job.
I am not very trusting of contractors, but Robert went above and beyond taking the time to explain the process to me. As he can attest, he spent A LOT of time with me as I was very hesitant to sign an AOB. I did not have to worry long as they have shown nothing but professionalism throughout this entire process. I have heard many horror stories from people who used other companies and we have been blessed to have chosen Showalter. Truly a stand up company that you can depend upon.
