  Buyer beware, this was a hard lesson for us and I certainly won’t be recommending this company to anyone. Our salesman was Richard, we traveled from Springhill Florida to the closets store which is in Tampa, about a 2 hour drive with traffic. Our initial visit we discussed the design, cabinets, countertops and financing options. Richard was alone in the store and advised he could finalize all the forms via e-mail and texts because of the distance we’d have to travel to return to the store. The communication from that point on was frustrating. Texting and emailing took days for responses and only lead to confusion and frustration. Rich had made several changes regarding promotions and sent at least 3 different quotes until we received the final one. When it came time to fill out the financing the information he provided in our initial meeting was incorrect and completely false, I cannot divulge the info because of google review policies. I will mention, the delivery of the cabinets went well, the driver was super nice and all pieces were received in good condition…except the draw and cabinet pulls. Richard dropped the ball on those. When he initially wrote the quote he used a generic pair of pulls, when I brought it to his attention he said to text him the ones I wanted and how many, I sent him the info. Two days before the cabinets were being delivered he told me he was sending the pulls UPS because he forgot to order them soon enough to be added to the cabinet delivery truck . When the installer went to install them we had the wrong amount and the sizes were wrong, he reversed the number of large pulls and small pulls so I ended up with 3 large instead of 3 small. When I contacted Richard hoping he would just switch them out and send me 3 small and I would send the 3 large back he instead said to order them myself online. I ended up calling customer service and they switched them. Now for the install and contractor we were assigned to. We received an initial quote for demo and install, nothing was itemized, just one price for all. After talking to their office we decided to do the demo ourselves and renegotiated with the contractor for them to install a wall behind our large island, electrical, plumbing and microwave installation. We agreed upon a price but when the service man arrived he informed us we were to install the island wall, after trying to communicate our agreement to him he called his boss who called me and said the wall wasn’t included in the price. Another lesson learned, I should have gotten him to provide me a written estimate on our verbal agreement over the phone. The install itself was done by a single gentlemen who while cordial seemed to struggle with placement of the kitchen cabinet where the sinks plumbing was . My husband had to advise him on how to place it properly. After he completed the install of the cabinets we had to call him back to adjust cupboard doors that were rubbing on the refrigerator board and pantry wall. We also noticed later that the kick plates had rough edges and extended past the cabinets as well as a chewed up piece of board next to the refrigerator. (See pictures.) we were so frustrated with the installer we basically fired them and finished the work ourselves, we did the electrical, plumbing, microwave and built the island wall and installed the island back panel. As for the counter tops, they were AMAZING, Ramos marble and granite and their design team who came to measure, went above and beyond. The two installers were professional and proficient. The gentleman that came to do the measurements was also extremely helpful in ensuring our pop electrical outlets were in the exact spot for cutting into the new wall and the countertop itself. I have nothing but praise for them, but Richard at Cabinets to Go, the contractor and installer were truly horrible to work with. Sorry Richard, but you didn’t earn the 5 stars but I did write a review.

  What a joke! I purchased approximately $6,000 in cabinetry from Cabinets To Go (CTG) here and ended up having to spend even more time returning the entire order because the product and representations provided during the sales process were inconsistent from start to finish . The cabinet renderings, sales documentation, product representations, and even the illustrations printed on the boxes did not consistently match one another. I documented these discrepancies and gave the store multiple opportunities to address them before returning the cabinets, yet Richard and CTG want to pick a fight instead. The cabinets were returned completely unopened, unassembled, and in their original packaging, and I personally transported them back to the store, meaning CTG incurred no return shipping expense. Despite this, CTG continues to inform me they are retaining 25% of the purchase price as a return fee. I formally disputed the deduction and provided the store with documentation. After initially responding, Richard has now stopped responding to my attempts to resolve the matter. Be very warned their return policy makes opening/assembling the cabinets problematic, yet the customer is expected to accept the product despite inconsistent representations. I made every effort to resolve this directly and professionally before considering this review. As others mentioned, their store manager, Richard, is incredibly rude from the start of the sales process to the very end , challenging at every moment. For a sales manager, not a great representation of the company. Nicole on the other hand was the only shining light here and if the product matched what I order, I could have looked past Richard and CTG poor service. Anyone purchasing cabinetry from CTG should carefully review every rendering, specification, product image, and physical/packaging representation before signing, and make sure the exact product is clearly documented. Problem is, you won't know until it gets delivered... so unless you enjoy Russian roulette, you can skip this place. I would never recommend CTG and will be pursuing the appropriate channels to dispute the remaining amount Edit as of 8/18: funny the business response to my review immediately, which prompted the manager to finally get back to me. However the private response back they are standing firm on their restocking fee because ‘they shipped from Tennessee’ and trying to stick me with the bill for their product discrepancies, which I will continue to fight. Their Response does nothing but try to save face, if they were genuine this matter is obvious and they would take accountability. Don’t be fooled!
