I’m giving one extra star for being timely and polite. Over $1000 for two tank part rebuilds and one was poorly installed so the handle was hitting the lid and not always lifting the stopper (I fixed that myself). They couldn’t fix the 3rd toilet due to needing to order Koehler specific kit (which I get). However, that plus fixing a base ring was going to be another $900? They originally just said I should replace the whole Koehler toilet instead of just ordering the tank kit. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had to ask multiple times for an itemized receipt/breakdown. They charge by the job, not hourly and two guys for a one man job. They also didn’t wave the call out fee with the repair job cost, which a lot of companies do. So…two kits for probably $20 each and maybe 2hrs of labor, tops for $1000. As a nurse, that is more than I make in two 12 hours shifts. Lesson learned…probably should have just tackled it myself.
