  I just moved into the Bradenton area and needed service on my AC. When looking for a new HVAC service provider all I heard was complaints about various companies and the usual “use this guy not that guy etc” I decided to start calling around to do my own research and see how professional the companies were on first contact… most don’t answer the phone or return phone calls. AC today won easily. I wish I remembered the girl’s name that took my call to give her credit but she was great, answered all my questions completely and found a quick time slot for me to proceed. I received text msgs to let me know when the tech would be here and a text to let me know when he was on his way. This was very much appreciated!! Tech Jay S arrived right when he was expected and got to work. He did a thorough job of inspecting my system from top to bottom, let me know what I needed, the cost and proceed to take care of the issue. I was so appreciative to get my AC cooling again and also knowing what I will need in the future. I cannot recommend this company enough for their honesty, great service and no sales push!

  Terrible company don’t purchase the maintenance contract as it is only valid for 30 days unless you purchase an extension which they don’t tell you until after the 30 to 90 day warranty is up 2 maintenance in a year doesn’t work when it only covers up to 90 days. Just another non-transparent sketchy shady Florida company. 0 out of 10 do not recommend.

  I had AC today come out To see what the problem was with my central air system, which is only about two years old. I purchased this new AC from AC today. What I find Appalling is that the tech when he came out also informed me that since I did not pay the yearly maintenance, the system is not on warranty. When you buy a AC from a reputable company, typical warranty is 10 years on the unit and less years on the labor. Apparently they do not honor this . When they came out, they realized that it was a clogged drain. Not only did they charge me $109 to do the service call they want an additional $600 on top of that to vacuum out the clogged AC drain. My property manager was there. He was surprised to say the least and he did it himself, which took about 15 minutes. The typical charge to do a clogged drain is usually about $125 to 150. The prices that this company charges are outrageous. If you look at the yelp reviews, you’ll see a different version of the reviews that you get from Google. Buyer beware

  Paid a service fee for the tech to immediately tell me that I need a new unit. He only checked the refrigerate and told me it was low and wanted $175 a lb to top it off. So for 10 minutes they basically got paid to do nothing. never again!!!

  When my AC went out, I called several companies early in the morning to come out and diagnose the issue and have it fixed. True to their name, AC Today was the only that rushed to get me on their schedule with a same day appointment at 11 AM. Other companies I called indicated that they didn't have availability for up to a couple weeks. Vincent B arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed and walked me through what was causing the issue. He noted that it was an easy DIY fix and gave me the option to save money if I was up to doing it myself. I paid the fee for the service call and decided to take that option. Vincent was very helpful and professional and I appreciated his approach. I will definitely be using AC Today for my HVAC needs in the future and recommend others considering doing so as well.
