I have been a Strada Services customer and kept my HVAC system on their preventative maintenance plan. Approximately one year and two months ago, Strada replaced the blower motor in my air conditioning system.
When my AC recently stopped working, I called Strada and paid a $189 diagnostic fee. The technician determined that the same blower motor they had replaced had failed. Instead of addressing why a replacement blower motor failed after only fourteen months, I was questioned about whether I changed my air filter or whether lightning had struck my home. I change my filter monthly, and there was no lightning event before the failure.
The technician informed me that the blower motor itself was still under warranty, but I would have to pay labor because Strada's one-year labor warranty had expired by approximately two months.
I was told the parts department would contact me the following morning to schedule the repair. After receiving no call, I contacted Strada and was promised a callback within an hour. After waiting more than two hours, I called again and spoke with a supervisor, the technician supervisor, and finally a manager. Each refused to make any accommodation despite the fact that the blower motor they replaced had failed after only fourteen months on a system enrolled in their preventative maintenance program.
I also found it concerning that a customer service representative told me they would "send a qualified technician this time" to perform the replacement.
Because of Strada's refusal to stand behind their previous repair, I lost confidence in the company and hired another HVAC contractor to complete the work.

5/30/2026 The A/C unit had ceased to blow any air from the vents. The air handler in the garage and the outside unit appeared to be working, but no air at all from the vents inside. Called for service and technician came that afternoon. Checked the air handler and said it had ice in it but got it to blowing air again; the unit began to cool the air. He checked outside unit but said there wasn't enough room for him to get behind it. He seemed ready to leave, but I wasn't satisfied because he gave no reason for the problem. Said it could be number of things. That is not really a very satisfying reason. From what he said I thought a technician would be coming tomorrow to find the cause of the problem, but I misinterpreted that. No technician coming tomorrow unless they received a call. The technician would NEVER say the problem was solved. He finally checked the air filter; it had literally disintegrated from the water. I had extra filters so a new one was installed. Because I kept asking questions, he checked the air handler again and said the capacitor was fine and he could fine no other problem. I was expecting a definite diagnosis and a definite solution. I feel dissatisfied and the worry factor is still there.

My AC has been running for more than 8 hours and still hasn’t reached 67°F. Just this past Thursday, it only took about 4 hours to cool down to 67°F, so there has been a noticeable change in performance.
This issue began after the technician performed the leak inspection. He recovered all of the refrigerant and then recharged the system. Since that service, the AC has been taking more than twice as long to cool the house. I’m concerned that the system may not have been recharged with the same amount of refrigerant it had before, or that something else may have changed during the service.
I paid over $675 for the leak inspection, in addition to the $269 maintenance plan, and unfortunately the system now seems to be performing worse than it was before the visit. Could you please send a technician to verify that the refrigerant charge is correct and that the system is operating properly? I would appreciate having this checked as soon as possible.

The picture shows that both A/C units have the exact same schedule. However, my house in Bradenton was able to cool from 72°F to 68°F in just 2 hours, while my house in Champions Pointe is still at 72°F after the same amount of time. There is obviously something wrong with the system. This is simply common sense—under the same settings and conditions, the two systems should not perform so differently. Could you please investigate what is causing this issue?

I was extremely disappointed with the technician who came to my house to evaluate and repair the damage caused by a lightning strike to my home. He was unhelpful, non-communicative and generally seemed annoyed to be there. Based on his attitude and the lack of information he provided, I had no confidence in his ability to help me recover from a frightening and damaging situation in my home. He quoted a preposterous price to JUST “EVALUATE” the breaker box, electric meter and the electrical damage/issues that I had pointed out to him. When I asked about evaluating my home for any other potential electrical danger or damage caused by the lightening strike, he had to look through his computer to determine if such a service was possible - it was, at an even higher price - and he clearly was not interested in doing that much work. I didn’t bother to ask what the cost would be for him to actually repair any of the electrical damage. I declined all services. My neighbor had recommended Strada Services, but I will not be doing the same.
