  Our A/C stopped cooling last night, Friday, right before bedtime. After a sleepless night, called Venice Air Conditioning and Plumbing about 8:30 AM and they had me scheduled for a repair by 5 PM. They sent out Ran from Vince Tiscio AC & Plumbing, who showed up about 1:45 and had us up and running after diagnosing, replacing a capacitor and performing a thorough cleaning both inside and outside in under an hour. Ran was great, very courteous and professional. I highly recommend Venice Air Conditioning & Vince Tiscio AC & Plumbing but I hope not to see them again for a good while. 😉

  Beau was great and he did a great job repairing the A/C and explaining the problems with it, however the repairs were way overpriced. Beau was only here for a total of 20 minutes including diagnosing the problems, negotiating the sale, and repairing the A/C unit. Their initial service call was $109. My A/C unit is 7 years old. It needed a capacitor and he told me the relay was weak and has some corrosion on it. I was charged a total of $456.42 for the service call and to replace the capacitor which I thought was a little high but not terrible considering that included the $109 service call. Then I was told the relay would be an additional $350 to replace 1 relay while he already had the unit open, and like I said he was here for 20 minutes total to do everything. So basically I had to pay $456.42 for the service call and for him to spend a total of 20 minutes at my house to diagnose the unit, negotiate the sale, and replace a probably $30 part and I was told it would be another $350 to replace the relay at the same time, which I declined so now when the relay fails soon I’m going to have to get it repaired again. Trying to charge someone $350 to replace 1 relay, which is probably a $15 part, while they already have the unit opened up to replace another part is way overpriced in my opinion. So even though the technician was good, I highly doubt that I will use them for repairs again in the future due to the high cost of their companies repairs.
