Working with Aruba Permit Services was an excellent experience from start to finish. We needed assistance obtaining a city permit and resolving another permit-related issue that had been delayed for a long time. Eric and Christina handled everything with great professionalism and guided us through the entire process until everything was successfully resolved and approved by the city. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment were outstanding. They were always available to answer our questions and assist us in a very friendly and professional manner throughout the process. Definitely a 100% quality service. Highly recommended.

Eric was my first point of contact. He gave me great advice about what to do even explaining I could have done it myself. Due to the rules I was told.i needed a contractor. Eric worked alongside myself and Kevin. We got all the paperwork sorted out, and the permit passed. Happy to work with this team again

Frequently Asked Questions About Aruba Permit Services

Why do cities require building permits?

Building permits are mandated to ensure that construction adheres to state, city, and fire prevention codes. Inspections are conducted on all issued permits to safeguard the safety and well-being of citizens. If you have expired building permits that need resolution, please contact Aruba Permit Services for assistance.

Is a permit required for my project?

Building permits are necessary for various projects including new commercial buildings, tenant build-outs, construction trailers, temporary power poles, new homes, mobile homes, room additions, and in-ground swimming pools. Many other projects also require permits, such as carports, fences, sheds, re-roofing, window and door replacements, above-ground pools, A/C change-outs, electrical and plumbing work, gas installations, generators, fire protection systems, walk-in coolers, and low-voltage wiring. Starting projects without proper permits can lead to increased costs, delays, and potential removal of structures. The Florida Building Code, 6th Edition (2017), mandates obtaining a permit before construction, alterations, repairs, or relocations. Violations may result in penalties of double the permit fee or $450, whichever is greater. The permitting process ensures compliance with setback requirements for structures like pools, screen rooms, sheds, garages, and carports. For assistance with building code violations or expired permits, please contact Aruba Permit Services.
