- RFRichard FaganFeb 20, 20255.0Eddie and Sean remodeled. My bathroom took out an old tub and shower enclosure and put me in a beautiful tiled shower with a bench. They are very professional and have attention to detail and I am totally pleased with their work. I would recommend them to anyone
- BEBerry EllisAug 29, 20245.0Eddie did a complete remodel of our master bathroom for us. He tore out walls, moved plumbing and electrical. He installed lights, plumbing fixtures and everything in between. He built walls, tile shower and many more things. He is by far the best contractor we have hired. His work is excellent and he shows up every day on time and puts in a hard days work. After he finished we hired him again to fix some doors in other areas of the house. That work was also excellent.
- EHEric HenleyAug 28, 20245.0Eddie was very pleasant and professional to work with. He is meticulous and takes pride in his work. My wife and I wanted some bathroom remodeling and laundry room remodeling and it is all done and looks great. Eddie was also able to accommodate last minute changes without issue and only did the work we requested without unnecessary addons. Highly recommended.
- AWAustin WelchJun 13, 20215.0Eddie turned my older looking house into a modern house that looks like it was made in 2021. Every single crazy request I had, he made a reality. I don’t know if it would have been possible with anyone else.
- DLDerek LotherJun 8, 20215.0I own several rental properties and have been using Eddie Mathews home repair for over 5 years. He has fair pricing, trustworthy and does good quality work.
Frequently Asked Questions About Eddie Mathews Home Repair & Remodeling
What's the best material for bathroom floors in humid climates?
Porcelain tile is ideal for humid environments because it resists moisture penetration and prevents mold growth. Granite is another excellent choice for its durability and water resistance. At Eddie Mathews Home Repair & Remodeling, we use moisture-resistant materials designed for Florida's climate.
How do you match existing drywall texture after a repair?
Matching texture requires identifying the original pattern—such as orange peel, knockdown, or skip trowel—and replicating it using the same application technique. Professional texture matching ensures seamless blending with surrounding walls. At Eddie Mathews Home Repair & Remodeling, we match textures precisely so repairs become invisible.
Can water damaged drywall be repaired or does it need replacement?
Minor water stains can sometimes be sealed and repainted, but saturated or bulging drywall must be replaced to prevent mold growth. Any drywall exposed to significant moisture should be fully removed and reinstalled. We also address mold remediation during water damage repairs in Pace, FL.
What's included in a complete bathroom renovation?
A complete bathroom remodel includes custom design, fixture installation, plumbing updates, tile work, and moisture-resistant materials like porcelain and granite. The process covers everything from layout changes to final finishes. At Eddie Mathews Home Repair & Remodeling, we handle all aspects of bathroom renovations.
When should you refinish hardwood floors instead of replacing them?
Refinishing works well when floors have surface scratches, dullness, or minor wear but the wood remains structurally sound. If boards are warped, cracked, or heavily damaged, replacement is necessary. Refinishing costs significantly less and restores the floor's original beauty.
