The generator was delivered, and the electrical team did a great job on 9/17. Today is 10/2. The gas line has not been run. The City of Bartlett cited them, and I can't reach anyone to return my calls. The generator has been sitting there for 2 weeks now!

Good evening,
Today we have our new Generac generator functioning. We had been looking forward to this date for some time and are very pleased!
I do want to let you know that Mike, the installer, did a fantastic job. He is definitely very knowledgeable and professional at his job.
Also, Mike was very courteous and it is obvious that he truly cares about a job executed to perfection.
Thank you,
Carlos Berger
It's been a "NIGHTMARE ". IF they can get my brand new Generac generator working this week, I'll change my review. Otherwise I'll spend the rest of my life telling Ocala residents all about my experience..... so far, I've had it over 6 weeks and it's still not working! Ocala Generac Super Center told me they would exchange my next generation whole house generator with a Guardian model, same age and size on Wednesday of this week. The techs and staff have really worked hard to put a working generator in my home. I am very thank full that they are replacing this unit with its tried and true Guardian model. All the employees are hard working, kind and show empathy to the customer.

One Star Is Far Too Generous—A $20,000 Installation Disaster
Hiring this company was an expensive, exhausting nightmare. For approximately $20,000, we expected competent professionals. Instead, we got three months of excuses, repeated no-shows, terrible communication, damage to our property, additional repair bills, and—most disturbing of all—a brand-new propane tank installation that the propane company said was improperly installed and leaking.
The company repeatedly failed to appear for scheduled appointments. Then, without even making an appointment, workers would show up in our backyard.
They had to take out part of our fence (brand new/new home build) to get their equipment in the back yard. We were assured that the fence company would be contacted to reinstall it properly. That never happened. Instead, the company sent its own staff to put it back, and their work was so terrible that we had to pay the actual fence company to repair the damage correctly.
They also left enormous holes in our yard. We told them that we considered these holes a serious safety hazard, but they still did not respond with any urgency. We finally had to pay someone else to fill them. The company sent someone days later, after we had already been forced to solve the problem ourselves.
After months of this incompetence, the generator and brand-new 1,000-gallon propane tank were supposedly ready. When the propane company arrived to fill it, they immediately placed a large red tag on it and refused to add propane because they said the installation was faulty and there was a leak (this is installed very close to our bedroom).
Let that sink in: a brand-new 1,000-gallon propane tank, installed outside our bedroom window, was leaking before it could even be properly filled.
Rather than first ensuring that this dangerous and unacceptable installation was corrected, the company began calling us for final payment—even after being informed that the propane company had refused to fill the tank because it was not installed properly.
This was not a minor inconvenience or a simple scheduling problem. It was a months-long ordeal involving repeated broken appointments, property damage, careless workmanship, added expenses, unresolved hazards, and an allegedly completed installation that another professional company considered unsafe enough to red-tag.
The entire experience demonstrated an appalling lack of professionalism, accountability, communication, quality control, and concern for customer safety. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you are considering trusting them with an expensive generator and propane installation at your home, especially near where your family sleeps, think very carefully.
We paid for expert installation. What we received was chaos, damage, expense, and a serious safety concern.
Note-they did send someone out to fix the leak/faulty installation and the propane company has inspected it and deemed it is ready and acceptable to fill. This is what we have been waiting for to make the final payment. I have called and left them 4 voicemails to make the payment with their account department and still haven't received a call back......

I have yet to have my generator work when we have experienced power outages or even brief power blips. That is extremely concerning considering the entire purpose of purchasing and installing a generator is to have reliable backup power when it is actually needed.
My generator was installed in May 2026, and since then I have experienced repeated problems. The Generac control board/logic board failed and had to be replaced. The generator battery also had to be replaced. In addition, Generx had to return after the installation team incorrectly installed the propane piping from the regulator to the generator. This resulted in numerous “No Crank” errors, where the generator would not start or, when it did start, would run very roughly.
I have only had a few successful weekly generator tests because these recurring “No Crank” errors continue to prevent the generator from starting. When the error occurs, the only way I have been able to get the generator running is to physically go to the generator, manually switch it off, hold down a reset function, and put it back into Auto mode. That is not a reasonable solution for a system that is supposed to provide automatic backup power, and it only works until the next “No Crank” error occurs.
There is also a serious issue with the generator's exercise schedule. For the past four weeks, the Generac app has indicated that my generator is exercising at the designated time. However, when I physically check the generator during those exercise windows, it is not exercising at all. In other words, the app is reporting that the generator is operating when, based on my physical checks, it is not.
I have also spoken with Nick, Ext. 1302, who I believe is a member of Generx management. I was told that Generx would not replace my generator and that I needed to go through Generac. This is particularly frustrating because Generac has no record of any of the problems I have experienced. Generx is the company that installed my generator, and I contacted Generx as I was instructed to do when I decided to purchase the system.
I have now reached the point where I have extensive email documentation of the problems, yet I am being directed to Generac, while Generac has been unable to assist me because the generator was purchased and installed through Generx. I should not have to act as the middleman between the company that sold and installed the generator and the manufacturer simply to get an unresolved problem addressed.
At this point, I have paid approximately $18,000 for the generator, purchased four 120-gallon propane tanks, paid more than $500 for tank monitoring on all four tanks, and paid another $130 for the app to monitor the generator's status. Despite that significant investment, I still do not have a generator that I can depend on to provide backup power or even consistently complete its scheduled exercise cycles.
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Generx. The installation has resulted in repeated problems, multiple component replacements, recurring “No Crank” errors, and issues that remain unresolved. Most importantly, I still do not have the reliable backup power system I paid for.
Based on my experience, I do not recommend purchasing a generator from Generx. In my opinion, and based on what I have personally experienced, the company has not demonstrated that it stands behind the product or the installation work after receiving my money. A generator that cannot reliably start when needed, cannot consistently complete its scheduled tests, and requires manual intervention to clear recurring errors does not meet the expectations I had when I made this purchase.
