I currently reside in a rental house in Ocala and after the A/C stopped working (reaching temperature), I immediately contacted the Property Mgmt. Team and they didn't provide any type of worthwhile attempt to fix the situation. The initial emergent request was sent Sunday July 5, 2026, the Mgmt Team uses a bidding type maintenance company named Lola to address all repair concerns, so on TUESDAY July 7, 2026, someone came by to address it, but their report and quote was turned away. Then Lola had another company come out and after he provided a report with a quote, they turned him away also. They placed my job out for bidding a third time and the 2nd company came back out on the next Sunday, July 12, 2026. He investigated the unit again and sent the report and quote, again, only to be denied. They then sent a random guy to the residence to actually fix the A/C, because now they had 3 different reports of what was wrong and chose this random guy to replace the coils and thermostat.
As you would imagine, he installed it incorrectly so the AC was not BLOWING cold air, it was seeping cool air and by 4am, I was up again, drenched in sweat. This is when the Lola FINALLY reached out to Rich at Florida AC Services! Rich came by to diagnose what the random guy did and noticed that it was wired incorrectly, not installed correctly and the guy tin snipped the A/C panel to make it fit (somewhat). Rich heard my story as you all just read and he chose to make the proper corrections so at least I could have COLD AIR BLOWING inside the home. AND HE DID IT!! He was not paid for this; he did this because he knew a week without A/C was immoral and improper to me. He then sent the report and quote to Lola WHO FINALLY APPROVED IT! Seeing the A/C was working now since Rich addressed the main issues, he and I coordinated a day to come out and actually fix the furnace the correct way, and he did! All this could have been avoided had they just reached out to Rich at Florida A/C Services first. I guess they learned a valuable lesson (lord knows how much money these people spent on sending "techs" out only to hire a complete buffoon).
Rich, I said it 100 times already, but THANK YOU!!! Thank you for understanding the issue(s), thank you for repairing the issues and THANK YOU for showing Lola and this Mgmt Team that cheaper isn’t the way to go when dealing with an A/C issue! (I sincerely doubt they learned anything, though).
Sorry if my pictures are out of order! :)
