- GGGregApr 22, 20261.0I needed to replace the cartridge in our kitchen faucet so I called Mike's, where I have a contract. Matt came out and did a nice job replacing the cartridge. The bill came to $400, less my 10% discount, and Matt was at the house for approximately 1 1/2 hours. I had the part so there was no part included in the bill. After Matt left, I began to think the bill was high so I called the office and they agreed to reduce the bill by $100, "since I was a good customer". I thought this was resolved and appreciated the goodwill shown by the company. However, I just received a call from Matt who wasn't too pleased with the decision by the office and told me he intercepted the check and I wouldn't be receiving the refund. I never questioned Matt's integrity on this bill. $400 to replace the cartridge in the kitchen faucet (it was a relatively easy procedure, according to Rohl) just didn't seem right . To agree to provide a partial refund and then have the plumber call me to let me know "he intercepted the check" surprised me, to say the least.. Since I've previously given Mike's and Matt 5 stars, I thought I should also provide a review on how this was handled. What began as a positive customer experience ended up with a lost customer! PS-I told Matt to keep the $100. It's now been two weeks since the response to my review--no check for $100.
