  Extremely sloppy workmanship and a very disappointing experience overall. When concerns are brought up, there seems to be an excuse for everything rather than a genuine effort to acknowledge and correct the quality of the work. And don’t get me started on the “Territory Manager,” Nate. In my experience, he has been about as useless as they come when it comes to actually addressing or resolving concerns. We’ve repeatedly been told some version of, “That’s construction” or “That’s what you deal with when working with trades,” as though below-average workmanship should simply be accepted. I strongly recommend reading their BBB reviews (yikes). I wish I had done more of that beforehand. It’s incredibly disappointing to spend this much money on a brand-new home for my family and already feel this much regret about the quality of the construction.

  Just a heads up for anyone getting ready for their walkthrough with DRB — double and triple check EVERYTHING before closing! We unfortunately missed quite a few things during ours, and now we’re having an extremely difficult time getting them addressed. Our home was not move-in ready when we closed. It was dirty, the grout is stained, there are multiple paint issues (including doors that don’t even match), and several ceiling lights/outlets were installed incorrectly or not centered, among other things. Stephen was our project manager. After we raised our concerns, he removed himself from our Trailside group chat and our issues were escalated to Nate, the territory manager. We were hoping that escalating things would finally get some of these problems resolved, but dealing with Nate was somehow even more frustrating. Instead of offering solutions, nearly every issue we brought up was met with an excuse or an explanation for why it apparently wasn’t a problem. When I brought up the fact that our brand-new home was filthy when we moved in, Nate told me that new homes are never really clean because it “takes time for the dust to settle.” When we questioned why the TV outlet in our living room was noticeably off-center, his response was that some people like their TVs in the corner and we should have specified that we wanted ours centered. The entire conversation with Nate felt dismissive, condescending, and incredibly unprofessional. For someone we were escalated to because we were already struggling to get things resolved, he was absolutely no help whatsoever. We walked away with plenty of excuses and essentially zero solutions or accountability. It was extremely disappointing, especially coming from someone in a territory management position. I do want to give credit where credit is due, though — Warren, the sales manager, has been our saving grace throughout this entire process. He has been kind, responsive, professional, and genuinely willing to listen and help however he can. Even when issues weren’t necessarily his responsibility to fix, he still made an effort to help us get answers and move things forward. We are extremely appreciative of him and wish our experience with the rest of the process had reflected the same level of customer service Warren provided. So for anyone building with DRB: do not assume something will be corrected after closing. Take your time during your walkthrough, photograph EVERYTHING, question anything that looks even slightly off, and get every single item documented before you sign. I really wish we had.

  When my husband and I decided to relocate to Central Florida we spoke with our realtor about some of the builders we were interested in seeing; to our surprise she added DRB, a builder we were unfamiliar with, to our list. Thank goodness she did! DRB was the first builder we saw and became the bar that we set when viewing the other options. In the end, it was an easy choice for us based on the location, the quality of the build (you'd be surprised how rare it is to find a block home in FL), and the ease of the buying process. Kenia was our sales rep and she worked closely with our realtor as we moved through the process. Since we selected a home that was in the beginning stages of construction we easily updated a couple things to make it our perfect home. Since moving in several months ago we've worked with our builder and the GC over some very minor issues that were promptly addressed. Our experience as homeowners at DRB has solidified satisfaction with our choice and we are excited to continue to watch our community grow. Here's to many happy years!

  We came upon DRB Homes at Trailside by chance at the very beginning of our search for a new construction home. From the location, to the craftsmanship, to the people we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jesslyn, our sales consultant was always readily available to answer questions or send photos whenever I reached out. She went out of her way to connect with our toddler (by bringing snacks) on the day we signed our contract. Jake, the project manager has also been so easy to communicate with and very attentive to any needs. He’s even checked in with us multiple times since moving in a month ago. We truly feel like we found a true gem in this community and team!
