- EPEric PerryJun 8, 20261.0A little back story is required - Wife and I purchased a flood damaged home in Gulfport March of 2025. The previous owners had hired Jenergy Air Services to replace their flood damaged AC unit with a new combination 3 ton Allied vertical straight cool AC system with 5 KW electric heat. They felt the home would not sell without the cooling/heating system being replaced. This work was completed in January 2025 and as stated, we purchased the home in March 2025. The home lay dormant throughout all of 2025 has been unoccupied since we purchased the property. Our reconstruction efforts started this January and we have now completed enough of the reconstruction work that we are able to run the AC system. Unfortunately, when we installed the new filters and fired it up (again, a brand new, unused system), it ran, but would not blow cold air. Now, it must be clearly stated that the system was, in fact, 5 months outside of warranty. However, Jenergy Air Services would not come and review the problem without being reimbursed their standard $98 inspection fee. Was this their right? Sure, but I think it’s advisable to let everyone know that is evaluating them for potential services, how we were dealt with in this situation.
