  I’ve been a long-time customer of Land O’ Lakes Water Treatment—they originally installed my system and have serviced it multiple times over the years. That’s exactly why this experience is so frustrating. I paid $225 for an annual service visit, and a new technician (after the company was apparently acquired) came out and immediately claimed my system is “failing at all fronts.” I was then told they no longer work on systems like mine and the ONLY option offered was a full replacement for $7,000. No real attempt to diagnose or repair—just a push to replace everything. This is especially concerning because my system is not beyond repair. My water test results (11 gpg hardness and 1.5 ppm iron) are well within a range that can be treated with standard maintenance and component replacement. In the past, this same company had no problem servicing this system. I even spoke with a manager, Stephanie, and was told there was nothing they could do. No alternatives, no accountability—just a take-it-or-leave-it approach after charging me for the visit. It feels like this company has shifted away from servicing customers and is now focused on selling expensive replacements instead of offering reasonable repair options. I would strongly caution anyone—especially existing customers—to get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. This was a very disappointing experience and not the level of service I used to receive.
