It's sad that a company that has been in the central Florida area, has taught their employees to use tactics to prey on the ignorance of there customers for the almighty dollar! Which makes me believe that they do nothing more than take advantage of their customers especially women and the elderly. For those reading this there are two types of AC units a package unit and a split unit. A package unit is a unit that sits outside that has air ducts running out of it to supply Air to a mobile home or a old wood frame house. A split unit has the condenser behind the house and air handler in the house that supplies air throughout the house. A family member of mine who is a 77yr old women bought a home with a less than 2 year old split unit that stopped working. Seeing how it is under a warranty call the company that installed the unit which happened to be Payne air conditioning. Come to find out the unit stopped working due to a clogged drain line that the condensation from the air handler makes while cooling your house. There's a float in that condensation line that will trigger if something gets clogged to shut the unit off so it doesn't produce any more moisture to avoid overflows or the coils to freeze over as well as prevents any other damages and leak in the home. Long story short, the drain line was clogged which engaged the flow to shut the unit off. Payne came out diagnose the issue, you would think being a well-named air conditioner company would take care of their customers. Take 10 minutes out of their busy schedule rectify the issue for reasonable rate. Seeing how fuel prices have gone up as well as labor wages. Around the ballpark of $75.00 maybe $85.00, and in my family members case it took the technician 10 minutes to clean out the drain line. Then take an hour hooking his gauges up to the condenser in the back of the house and playing on his phone appearing to be busy. To squeeze every last dollar out of the a 10 to 15 minute job that it was. That's skyrocketed the service fee to $176.00 for nothing more than 10 minutes worth of work. NOTE, I'm writing this review to let the other know that respect and customer loyalty are no longer important to Payne air conditionings. I believe I'm going to go ahead and take the manufacturer warranty then go with the company "PRICE BUSTERS" that I feel takes better care of their customers and charges $25.00 a month for quarterly maintenance.
Please with prices and the cost of living increasing exponentially educate yourself find the best solution for you and go with it.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their record-keeping is a complete joke.
Over the years, I’ve corrected my home address with them multiple times, yet I found out today they still have it wrong—even after coming to my house for annual A/C maintenance for the past four years.
The representative told me they mailed a renewal notice for my annual A/C maintenance back in April. Unsurprisingly, I never received it because they sent it to the wrong address. Now, I’m being told I have to put my name on a waiting list and may not be able to get my maintenance done until November.
This entire situation could have been avoided if they had simply kept accurate records. Poor customer service and poor record management. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

I highly recommend Payne Air Conditioning & Heating for your HVAC repairs and maintenance. Technician Roberto Garcia arrived on time and did a thorough evaluation of the system. He clearly explained everything that was needed and went to work. Roberto was polite and professional throughout the service call. Will definitely call them again when there’s a problem.
