I called for information about refinishing the tub in my new home but had a few questions, so the receptionist had one of the workers call me back. When he did, I specifically asked about ventilation because I don’t have a bathroom window and know they use strong chemicals, so I was wondering if the refinishing would be doable. He assured me, without a doubt, it wouldn’t be a problem and even had a little chuckle in his voice as if it was a silly question (maybe the chemicals aren’t as strong as I thought?). So I scheduled the refinishing and my boyfriend (Chris) and I waited for the guys. When two workers show up (15 minutes past the 12-2 timeframe) they immediately become concerned about the poor ventilation. I’m concerned and confused because I was assured it wouldn’t be a problem. They call the boss, Dave, who happened to be close by and he stopped over after they left to see what could be done. He takes one look and tells me my entire house has to be opened up and my furniture covered. Then I think my eyes may have popped out of my skull. My entire house has to be opened up? That sounds like a huge problem. I ask if I can close all these doors (I motion to the bedrooms) and keep the windows and doors of the living room and kitchen open. He told me no because they need all the ventilation. Chris asks what other options are there and Dave says he doesn’t know, they only do refinishing. We ask a few more questions, desperate to get this resolved but we only get short answers and a hint of an attitude. I’m sure Dave can tell we’re disappointed so instead of trying to fix things, he’s making them worse. I tell him it doesn’t even feel like he’s trying to sell it and he said he’s not a salesman. Alright buddy, you clearly don’t give a damn and don’t want to work with us so take your attitude and shove it. They deserve negative five stars for the multitude of issues within the company. Buyers beware! These guys are absolutely horrible.
