  We started working with Jay and his team in August of 2025. We were told that it would take roughly 30 days post demolition to complete both bathrooms. After some pretty serious delays (some on us, some on Jay) demoltion was complete middle to late October. Unfortunately, Jay and his team cut into the slab of our condo (which they were instructed not to do) so more delays ensued. Fast forward to December which was nearly 60 days post demolition. One bathroom was ALMOST done (no shower door) and the other bathroom was still down to the studs. Needless to say we were less than pleased to have both bathrooms incomplete four months post contract. While we could move on from that, the real frustrating part was how bad the work was. The tile in the guest was crooked which we were told was due to the tiles. Bear in mind, their design team selected them. In addition to very sub par tile work, the switches were upside down and also not flush. The shelf in the shower was pitched backwards so rain collected versus drained. The shelf was also not flush and had one extremely sharp edge on the corner. There are many other issues we had and when we tried to speak with Jay, he raised his voice and said we were treating him like a child. We ended up terminating the contract and our moving forward with a different contractor. I emailed Jay to hopefully come to a mutual parting of ways but he has not responded. In addition to the above they put a hole in a guest room, broke the entry way light fixture, left several stains on the carpet, and damaged the entry way wall. All in all after 4 months we were left with one very incomplete and poorly done bathroom, one bathroom at the studs and most likely will result in us losing out around $6k dollars and several months of using our condo.

  Could not have asked for a better experience with Burbank Design Studio- Jay and Laura provided excellent advice as well as options and ideas for our kitchen renovation. Without question, their customer service was outstanding and they were onsite throughout every phase of the project. Their communication was exemplary, always responding quickly to all questions. We highly recommend them and look forward to future projects with Burbank.
