I have contacted them numerous times for an estimate. I have been told 2 different times that they would come out and give an estimate on the job. Both times they have failed to show up or give a call. I have spoken with Colby twice and he says “we got busy.” I find this to be a company with poor business practices with a failure to make and keep appointments. I guess they are too busy for my business.

I needed a load of gravel for a retaining wall I'm building. I searched and found Florida Concrete Recycling. They are local and the price was reasonable. The phone attendant was knowledgeable and pleasant. I spoke with her numerous times in the 3 days prior to my delivery due to a billing snafu (on their end) and also regarding where the gravel would be dumped. I discussed this issue in great detail with her - how big the truck is, how wide the approach path must be, etc. So, I set up a tarp in my yard exactly where I wanted the gravel dumped, knowing that I had met all the requirements. When the delivery came, he dumped it in my driveway - on the opposite side of my house and yard. The gravel blocks part of my driveway. It is a large load - maybe 100 wheel barrows full. This must all be transported, uphill, to where it is needed. This is a huge amount of extra, unnecessary work. Converting this extra work into dollars greatly increases the cost of the gravel, not to mention the wear and tear on my body. When I called to complain, the lady was pleasant, but simply said she was "sorry". That doesn't help. What I think would have been appropriate is for them to offer to move the gravel pile to where it was supposed to be dumped. In any case, if I was looking for gravel again, I would find someone else.
