  When my wife and I started thinking about retirement, we knew South Florida was where we wanted to be. It had everything we were looking for, especially the weather. After years of putting up with those brutal, cold winters, we were more than ready for a change. This was going to be our time to finally relax and enjoy life. For me, that meant one thing I couldn’t live without: being on the water. I pictured walking out my back door, hopping on my boat, and heading out to fish or cruising over to a waterfront restaurant for dinner. My wife had her own must-have, a home at least as big as the one we were leaving behind. We knew full well that friends and family back in the Northeast would be more than happy to trade their winters for a visit down here, so we needed plenty of room to host everyone, but also enough space to keep some privacy of our own. After looking at a number of existing homes, we realized that the only way to get everything we really wanted was to build custom. So I started researching builders, and honestly, I came away a bit discouraged. We’d never built a house before, so we were already a little hesitant and didn’t really know what we were doing, and a lot of the builders we came across didn’t help. Most only offered a handful of pre-designed models, and hardly any seemed interested in helping us figure things out as out-of-state buyers. Then we found Kass Construction & Development, and honestly, that’s when everything clicked. Right from our first conversation, Mitch and his team took the time to walk us through the ins and outs of the South Florida market. He pointed us to a great real estate company and introduced us to two fantastic architectural firms. What meant the most to us was that they genuinely listened to what we wanted and guided us through every single step. For first-timers like us, that made all the difference. Having a dedicated Project Manager during construction meant we always knew exactly what was going on. Choosing Mitch was one of the best decisions we made. If you’re after a true boutique builder who’ll give you personalized attention instead of a cookie-cutter experience, especially if you’ve never done this before, I can’t recommend Kass Construction & Development enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
