- AGaudrey greeneJul 23, 20241.0Buyer beware and do your due diligence before signing with Richmond American Homes. They do not uphold warranty issues due to poor craftsmanship. Once they have your money and you own the house it’s adios to any accountability on their end. I’ve been here for 3 plus years and can say this with confidence. My husband and I wish we would have put our money in another community. Your home is your biggest investment and you spend your hard earned money to pay for your home and in return get slapped in the face with expeensives that could have been avoided. It’s really sad but read the bad reviews and take them seriously.
- JBJames BranchJun 17, 20231.0Scam, took my down payment of Just under 10k January 28th with a closing of August 20th planned. March 3rd was told closing was moved to April 21st and that closing could only be changed if I paid an additional 1.5% or approx 6k and that would only get me a few weeks. Needless to say I lost my 10k and they just move right along and not a care at all. Also I spoke with counsel on the matter and this is a common practice builders use to not put dates in contracts so they can force your hand. Don't trust verbal agreements on dates make sure they are in writing! Theft is what it is called and hard working Americans always get shafted big companies.
