My tech, a young man named Daniel Erlandson, was absolutly the best. He came up, introduced himself, ask me some questios as to what was going on. He explained what he was doing. He was so considerant and knowledgable. He explained the need for annual cleaning and check ups. I will call and book for him to come out it the spring. Thank you Bay Air for sending this young man. You should be very proud of him.

Top notch service. Have always used Bay Area in the past, but due to free diagnostic service called another company, and was told needed a coil cleaning and new motor ($4500) or whole new unit ($17.5k). Rob however, came out as a second opinion (should have been my first and only opinion- will be going forward) tested the unit, found the capacitor* was no good. Tested the unit with a new one to confirm the issue and voila, I HAVE COLD AIR. Moral of the post as we all know FREE doesn't always mean better! $300 later I am literally CHILLING in my house. 5 Star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am a renter and my landlady called To have them come out and check as to why my air was running 24 seven and was never getting to the temperature that it was supposed to be at. The technician stayed here a long time trying to figure everything out, even went up in the attic as hot as it was and checked everything to make sure there was no holes in the ductwork and cleaned out my unit. He did everything possible and finally came to the conclusion because everything else was running perfectly. It was my thermostat. It was trial and error and he did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone and this young technician. A job well done!!

Called in for service at 8 am service tech got there at 6.45 pm being in the business for years knew what the problem was a capacitor which is a $20 part charged me $173 for the install and a service call of $95 total $273 Literally HIGHWAY ROBBERY !!! Asked if I could get a maintenance contract to reduce the cost said no would not matter. To add I am replacing the system soon being it is 10 years old. Being a Business Owner in the Service Industry for many years in Ocala & Homosassa guess you know my answer you won't be getting my BUSINESS !!!! My advice do research & read reviews there are enough companies in the area suggest the smaller companies that are honest instead of RIPPING PEOPLE OFF !!! Truly I hope this registers with the Owner and future people. JUST BAD BIZ !!!

I highly recommend Bay Area Air Conditioning. After a frustrating, high-pressure experience with a different corporate HVAC company, I called Bay Area for a second opinion, and the difference was night and day. Their technician, Daniel E, was absolutely phenomenal and is a massive asset to this company. When Daniel heard that I had already paid a $99 diagnostic fee to the first company, he informed me that Bay Area actually offers a completely free diagnostic quote for homeowners seeking a "second opinion." That upfront honesty saved me from having to pay an additional dispatch fee just to get a fair look at my system. Unlike the first company, Daniel was incredibly thorough, systematic, and transparent. He meticulously checked the indoor air handler and the visible connections with an electronic refrigerant sniffer tool. He traced the leak directly to the section of the line set running underground inside a PVC sleeve, proving it by showing how the detector triggered at both ends of the pipe opening. Instead of pushing an overpriced or unnecessary multi-day pressure test, Daniel consulted with a senior industry veteran, confirmed the diagnosis logically, and proposed a permanent, code-compliant solution: abandoning the buried line and rerouting a brand-new line set through the attic. The office provided a highly transparent, itemized flat-rate quote, which included all materials, labor, a deep vacuum pull, and up to 7 lbs of R-410a refrigerant built directly into the estimate. If you want honest, skilled diagnostics without the corporate sales tactics, ask for Daniel at Bay Area Air Conditioning.
