  We had a great experience with Tampa Standard Construction and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, reliable contractor. After we had a water leak in our home, they completely remodeled our kitchen and replaced the flooring, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. From the very beginning, they were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. One of the things we appreciated most was that they actually listened to what we wanted. They never tried to upsell us or give us a sales pitch. Instead, they answered all of our questions, offered helpful advice when we asked for it, respected our budget, and helped us create the kitchen we had envisioned. They kept us updated throughout the project, showed up when they said they would, and paid attention to the little details. The quality of their work really shows, and our new kitchen and floors look amazing. It's hard to find a contractor who is honest, communicates well, does great work, and genuinely puts the customer first, but that's exactly what we found with Tampa Standard Construction. If you need a kitchen remodel, new flooring, or repairs after water damage, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We are so happy we chose them and would absolutely use them again.

  # ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tampa Standard Construction LLC – A Contractor You Can Trust After more than a year remodeling three bathrooms and a full kitchen—and going through multiple contractors—I can honestly say hiring **Tampa Standard Construction LLC** was the best decision we made. Our remodeling journey was anything but easy. The first contractor hired inexperienced subcontractors who cracked our quartzite countertops twice during our bathroom renovation. We later discovered they weren't even properly licensed, and I had to terminate the contract and negotiate to recover my deposit. The second contractor was even worse. He accepted a **$45,000 deposit**, never started the project, kept delaying with one excuse after another, and eventually admitted he had mishandled the funds. To my surprise, he even had five-star Google reviews when I researched contractors. Although I've recovered most of the money, I'm still trying to recover the remaining **$10,000**. No homeowner should ever have to experience something like that. After those experiences, I became extremely cautious. I interviewed nearly ten contractors for my kitchen renovation, visited Tampa Standard Construction's office in Brandon, met **Steve**, the owner, **Brett**, the initial project manager, and **Brian**, the project manager who ultimately oversaw our renovation. After several meetings, I felt confident they were the right choice. Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them. Our kitchen renovation was a major project involving removal of a non-load-bearing wall to create an open-concept kitchen and living room, relocating plumbing, rewiring electrical, installing new cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, and coordinating multiple trades. From beginning to end, everything was handled professionally. What impressed me most was their organization and communication. Having a dedicated project manager made a tremendous difference. Whenever we had a question or concern, Brian was responsive and worked to resolve it. Their subcontractors were all licensed, experienced professionals, and the quality of their workmanship clearly reflected that. We did have one issue with the cabinet crown molding because it projected farther than we wanted. Instead of dismissing our concern, Brian worked closely with the cabinet installer to select a different molding profile that matched our kitchen perfectly. That willingness to listen and make things right speaks volumes about the company. They were also very flexible with scheduling. We had a vacation planned during construction, and they paused the project without hesitation and resumed promptly after we returned. They handled every permit, coordinated all county inspections, and kept the project moving smoothly from start to finish. Their pricing was also very competitive. I collected quotes from nearly ten contractors. Some well-known companies were more than **50% higher**, while a few smaller companies were slightly cheaper but lacked an established office or proven track record. Tampa Standard Construction offered the best combination of value, professionalism, experience, and accountability. After experiencing both contractor incompetence and outright fraud, I don't write reviews lightly. Tampa Standard Construction restored my confidence that there are still honest, professional contractors who genuinely care about delivering quality work and standing behind it. Those experiences also inspired me to establish ProjectGuard Advisory LLC, with the goal of helping homeowners avoid contractor scams, ask the right questions before signing a contract, and make informed decisions during major remodeling projects. If sharing my experience helps another family avoid the financial losses, frustration, and stress that we went through, then it is well worth it. They earned our trust, exceeded our expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a major remodeling project.

  I had a great experience with Steve and his team. My garage ceiling is old and had wind damage from the last hurricane. The crew was available to make the repair very quickly from the time I agreed to move forward with the project. They even made repairs to a few areas of wall damage, outside of the job they were hired for, and without me asking them to. They just saw that it needed fixing and did it without additional cost. I highly recommend Tampa Standard Construction.
