- WSWill S3 days ago5.0My girlfriend had some carpet replaced by Avalon-Wilmington a while back and was very pleased, so on her recommendation I called them to replace the floors in my kitchen and bathroom with simulated wood grain vinyl. I was very pleased with the whole experience from start to finish. The sales process was great, Rob was very knowledgeable and took all the time we needed to figure out what flooring to select. Kane, the estimator and overall project coordinator was fantastic, clearly putting in extra effort, including a couple of extra trips out to my place to match trim colors, to make sure everything went as expected. The crew was in and out of here in less than a day, and the results were awesome, such an improvement over the old, ugly stuff that was there. The only thing that was less than perfect was the quarter-round shoe molding at the base of the cabinets. The cabinet bases are black, but they couldn't get the molding they were using in black, so they went with white, and it would have to be painted. I wasn't real keen on the idea of painting it myself, but then I noticed how mismatched the ratty-looking 40 year old baseboards looked next to the new flooring and decided to have both rooms completely retrimmed - baseboards and shoe molding, so at the end of the day, the white molding didn't matter. There's more work to be done here as I prep the place for retirement, and Avalon will be my first call.

She ordered samples for us to see and kept us informed. They both were extremely knowledgeable and customer-focused. We changed our original grout color choice. Rich was more than willing to help us find a better option. . He walked us through the options, showing us the grout colors on samples in the store. With his expertise, it made the whole process smoother. We will surely return to Avalon for future renovations.

Yes, we offer free measuring services for our customers. Once a customer visits a showroom or completes a virtual consultation and makes selections, one of our professional estimators will visit the home to properly measure the space for the selected materials.

Do you carry felt under-padding for area rugs?
Yes, we carry synthetic felt under-padding for your area rug. Visit one of our showrooms for our full selection of area rug under-padding.
Are rug remnants for sale? Do you have a good supply of remnants and bound area rugs?
We carry remnants in our Rio Grande, NJ and Toms River, NJ showrooms. We also offer a full selection of ready-made rugs as well as an opportunity for custom rugs from a wide variety of vendors and brands.
Do you carry Tec grout?
Yes we do! Please visit your local showroom to view our selection of Tec grout.
Do you carry grout and mortar?
Yes, we carry a wide range of installation materials, including grout and mortar. We are a full stocking dealer of your most common grout and mortar brands, including TEC, Schluter, Wedi and more.
Do I need an appointment to talk to a store associate about my flooring or window project?
Appointments are not required in our showrooms and we do accept walk-ins. However, we do recommend making an appointment to speak with one of our store associates if you plan to arrive during peak visiting hours. Call your local showroom for an appointment.
Do you sell vinyl plank flooring?

Do you sell stair treads and runners?
Yes, we sell custom runners for your staircases. We also carry a selection of wood-look stair treads that coordinate well with our flooring options. We do not carry carpet stair treads at this time.

In the case of any error made during installation of an Avalon Flooring project, we can follow up with necessary repairs. We do not offer general floor repair services.
Do you do floor refinishing?
We do not offer floor refinishing services.
Do you do carpet stretching?
We offer stretching for carpet that was originally installed by the Avalon Flooring team. Our carpet stretching services are available for a fee. Call your store associate or local showroom for details.
What is your return policy for excess products (i.e. tile, laminate planks, etc.)?

Do you provide samples to bring home for review?
Many of our products do have samples that can be brought home. Depending on the product, you may be able to take those samples home the same day, or we may have to ship them to your home. For example, for hardwood, laminate, and vinyl we offer $5 samples that can be shipped directly to your home, while carpet samples are often available in store for customers to take home.
