  Unfortunately, this company was extremely disappointing and unreliable. After giving the green light, the contractor left us waiting on a Saturday without showing up or apologizing because he was at a football game. Before the project even began, we repeatedly stressed that the driveway's front lip was critical to prevent stormwater from flowing down our hill, which lacks a storm drain. They ignored our repeated concerns, dismissing them by claiming they had over 30 years of experience and knew the ideal lip size. Because the excavated driveway was steep and left incomplete for over six weeks, we felt it necessary to buy 75 sandbags and constantly move them whenever it rained to prevent massive flooding. The contractor did absolutely nothing to help address this risk during the two months the project dragged on. After this past weekend's heavy rainstorm (7/18/26), rushing rainwater and road debris flooded down the driveway, clogging our sump pump and damaging our home. In 30 years of living here, we have never once had water enter our house! We contacted 3M early Sunday but received a delayed text stating they were away. They promised to come out the following day (Monday) to address all concerns. Workers finally arrived Monday afternoon to fix the driveway modification we originally agreed to. However, the contractor completely dismissed our home damage and expenses. He repeatedly deflected blame, claiming the Town of North Haven’s drainage system caused the pump failure and flooding rather than his driveway work. Rather than assessing the damage they caused, the contractor only cared about forcing us to sign a liability waiver for future flooding and debris. We had to remove water, rip out carpeting in three rooms, toss out ruined area rugs, and suffer extensive wood floor damage. On top of losing irreplaceable personal items, we had to buy a new pump, rent commercial dehumidifiers and fans, and are now faced with thousands of dollars in cleanup costs. We paid for this project in full, in cash, expecting quality work and responsive service, but were deeply disappointed by both. This is no longer about the money—it is about the principle of doing what is right and standing behind your work. If you hire them, get all drainage plans in writing, document everything with photos at every stage, and log all communications. We have texts proving their endless delays and missed appointments, including one ironically stating, “We didn’t forget you.” (But they did!) Very Dissatisfied and would not recommend! The Cartiers

  Awesome experience with 3M. From the quote to removing the old driveway and paving the new driveway, 3M was awesome. Great and simple communication. Easy scheduling and high quality work. Shout out to Gianni for keeping us informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend this company! First picture was our driveway before removal. Second was following removal and adding base material. Third is the final product.

  Chris does all my paving work I own hundreds of properties Chris is the only contractor I would trust to go and do the job and not have to be on site! Chris also does all my new construction site work, seamless fair prices and always on time! I would highly recommend 3m site and paving.
