I had a septic emergency and called five different companies. **New London County Septic & Excavation** was the only one that was able to respond immediately and get to my home as soon as possible.
The service technician was highly professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything while quickly resolving the issue. During a stressful situation, their prompt response and exceptional service made all the difference.
My family truly appreciates the outstanding service we received. We highly recommend **New London County Septic & Excavation** to anyone looking for reliable, professional septic service in Eastern Connecticut. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Consistent trustworthy service and very knowledgeable. Five years ago Todd and his team replaced an aging 55 year old septic tank common to our Gales Ferry-Christy Hill neighborhood. At that time NL County removed the original concrete tank and replaced with a modern two compartment plastic version connecting to the existing dry-well leaching system. More recently they replaced two suspicious junction boxes and flimsy 1960’s piping with modern PVC materials. And with modern fiber optics video equipment they could now assess the dry wells were OK and working fine. A sigh of relief from me with that good news, doing only what was needed, and not proposing an expensive new leaching system. Mike Gouzie, April 2026

We get this question a lot. The state health department recommends pumping your tank every three to five years. If you have children living at home, you should consider having the tank serviced more often. Most systems installed after 1980 should have an “as-built” drawing on file at your local health department or town sanitarian's office.
