Eric Card is an amazing technician, a veteran of the airforce, and did a quality job. He came over, worked his ass off digging the hole to find the septic covers and pumped out the tank all within a few hours.. I enjoyed his company, appreciate his hard work and would recommend him and his service to anyone! Thank your Eric and I listened to what you said about thank tank and lines!! TY!

My service tech, Robert, was absolutely top notch. 5+ stars for him all day long. Very knowledgeable and provided relevant and fair guidance on our home which we recently moved into. I would hire him independently without hesitation. As it were, I ended up not needing any work done, and his visit ended up being a general informational and recommendations for our new home.
Benjamin Franklin overall....while I am sure they are fair in their recommended services, they seem to price their services on the extremely high side. However - they do offer a monthly service agreement which does seem to have some reasonable value baked into it. For a fair monthly charge, you can get free service calls as well as some annual routine checks and maintenance services at no charge, and a decent discount for any paid services. I did sign up for this, and plan to utilize them for my first contact whenever a need for work comes up. This will help me determine if it is a problem I can fix myself, or if I actually do need to have some work professionally done. If it is the latter, however, I am confident it will be much more cost effective to have it done by other local/independent skilled workers, even after their discount from the service agreement.
I can definitely recommend them for that service agreement, but I believe that is the extent of it.

I am an elderly woman whose hot water heater was leaking, so I called this company. A very nice young man came out to look at it and gave options for what the issue is. Decided to just get a new one. They ended up coming the next day. The gentleman that installed the system were very nice. It took all day. Day 2 no hot water. After they left it started to leak. We contacted them right away. No one could come out until the next day. The third person came out. A young lady, who was also very nice. She looked over the set up, said what she thought the problem was and left.
Not even 2 hours later there was water on my floor again. Now I’m on day 3. Saturday. No one is contacting me back. And all I get is an automated voice telling me how sorry he is and he will set us up for an appointment Monday!!!!
Their web-page states 24/7 emergency service. This is false advertising! Big companies thinking just because I’m old and nice doesn’t mean I can be taken advantage of.
I will never recommend this company. Their costumer service is terrible.

I had requested a quote to replace my tub/shower to a walk-in shower. Worked with Christopher Bloomfield, he was great. He took his time and went through everything in detail, answered all my questions and provided a lot of information. I would highly recommend him.
Prior to the quote request, I had a leak in my bathroom. My appointment was scheduled immediately and Felix Colondres not only showed up on time, but early. I have worked with Felix before on previous plumbing issues and he’s great. Very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything. He’s very courteous, respectful and very careful while working and always cleans the work area when finished. I would highly recommend him.

We had a very bad experience with them and don't recommend them at all. They upsold us a Bosch boiler, top of the line, but, when it conked out on us in February 2026, they didn't know how to repair it. Their various plumbers were here 9 different times and never resolved the problem, while we were on vacation and paid our handyman a total of $1,800 to be on call, go to our home and let them in, and wait while they puttered around trying to fix it. But the Ben Franklin manager wouldn't negotiate with us in reimbursing us for their incompetence! Meanwhile we were in high anxiety that the cold temps would cause our pipes to freeze and cause terrible damage. The plumbers would say they fixed it, but we lost all confidence in them and had our handyman go back the next day only to find a cold house. Each trip by our handyman was an additional cost to us. We couldn't come back home because the cold temps made our place uninhabitable! Finally, a month after our initial call to them and after 9 follow up visits, they offered to send a Bosch rep from the Boston area to look at it. We, of course, agreed and had our handyman here at our home and had us on Facetime to watch the procedure, at which time it took the Bosch rep a mere 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and then fix it! He declared, "It's running beautifully!" and it did! Meanwhile we paid for Ben Franklin's incompetence! They owe us $1,800, which may need to be settled in Small Claims Court if they don't do the right, fair thing and reimburse us. P.S. We paid $36/month for an annual contract with them that was for supposedly extra excellent service, which was a sad joke. Be wary - very wary - of Ben Franklin Plumbing in Andover, CT.
