  Ben was the technician who came to diagnose and repair our well pump within 24 hours of our pump failing. We have very high iron and Ben did a great job not only explaining but literally showing me the parts and what was happening. I know nobody wants to find themselves with such a high and unexpected cost, but it helps that Ben was polite and thorough. Highly recommend.

  noticed some water intrusion in my basement and called them to help identify the source of the problem. The technician came to my home and spent about 30 minutes inspecting the area. He told me that there was no leak from the plumbing or bathroom and suggested that the water might be coming through the exterior wall. No repair or other work was performed during the visit. I was then charged $436.72. I understand that there is a cost for a professional inspection and a technician’s time, but I felt that $436.72 was extremely high considering that no repair was performed and, most importantly, my water intrusion problem was not resolved. Afterward, I contacted the company to express my concerns. They agreed, as a goodwill gesture, to refund the $79 service fee. I appreciated that response. However, after multiple follow-up emails and almost a month of waiting, I still have not received the promised refund. Overall, I’m disappointed with both the cost of the initial visit and the follow-up service. Based on my personal experience, it is difficult for me to understand how the company has maintained such high ratings. I hope they will honor their commitment and process the promised $79 refund.

  Over three visits, and 2 and a half days of missed work, this company mis-diagnosed the problem with my septic. not once, but twice, then dug up and broke pipes going to my leaching field, then filled the hole back in. Yes, they did fix what they broke, but then attempted to charge me $7000. $3200 for the first misdiagnosis and $3800 for the second mis-diagnosis. First, they said i had roots in my leeching field and i had to pay for them to dig up the "D" box and hydro-jet the leeching field pipes. When they came for the second visit to do the work, they broke the pipes from my pressure vessel to the leeching field. Then they realized they didn't know the type of septic system i had, and changed the diagnosis...the d-box was not dug up, the hydro-jetting was not performed.....my pipes were ok, it was my pumps.....supposedly. How did they diagnose it? The guy looked...not take apart, not take any measurements, didn't call anybody, just looked at the pumps. Then told me it would be 3800.00 to fix the pumps......Pumps that cost $400.00 retail (i called the pump company) are the size of a loaf of bread and literally have a power plug and hose clamp connection and sit on a shelf. The guy they sent on tuesday-3rd visit, the company sent him with no clear instruction or parts to fix what they broke. This was the FIRST tech that bothered to do any kind of diagnostic work. The tech came up with a diagnosis of a bad float switch. He diagnosed it at the panel in my basement....no digging required. When they finished fixing THEIR damages, and replacing the float switch, I was handed the bill of 3200 + 3800. I refused to pay that, as it still was not working. I paid $2200.00. I was told on the first visit that the excavation work cost $1500.00.(which wasn't necessary) Which means the float switch was 700.00. They don't break down parts and labor so i have no clue what the actual break down is. When i called the float switch company(same as the pump), they said the float switch cost $30.00....yes, thirty dollars, retail. .....that's one huge mark up. What did i get for my 2200? I got my yard dug up, my pipes broke, the damaged pipes repaired(sort of) and the hole filled in and missed work. What i did NOT get was a working septic. I called a local guy who came out on a Saturday, ACTUALLY TESTED THE PUMPS as well as the float switch and the tank, fixed what Ben Franklin screwed up, (the pipes Ben franklin replaced were not air tight, were not pressure rated and leaked pressure) and my septic is working. All he needed to access the pipes was a shovel to dig up the buried inspection cap. Total cost for the local guy? $650.00.....and my septic is now working........$650.00........not 3200.00......not 3800.00.....not 2200.00.....no missed work, no dug up yard, just an honest charge and a working septic. Did Ben franklin need a back hoe to address the float ? absolutely not. Did they Fix my problem? No. Were they even remotely familiar with the style of septic that i had? again, no. Oh, and before they reply with " our prices reflect the cost of business etc." You can only make that claim if YOU ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM IN A TIMELY MANNOR. Lets address the pump replacement- 2 pumps at $400.00 =800.00 which means its $3000 for labor. The labor is opening the cardboard it comes in, putting a 15lb pump on a shelf, plugging the power cord into an outlet and attaching a 3/4in hose with a hose clamp. the cost is NOT industry standard, that is NOT the cost of doing business, i am NOT paying for your knowledge cuz that wasn't even the problem. Don't let these guys on your property, call someone else.
