Naylen Babeon came in to shorten the water supply line for a toilet. He quickly discover that our water pressure was 50% higher than safe (thank you city of Castle Rock for NOT letting us know we need to address that when you upgraded the neighborhood water pressure). We needed a water pressure regulator to prevent pressure damage to our plumbing. In the process he identified that our main water control valve was on the verge of failing (it's a 50yo house). He got the regulator installed, the main valve replaced, and the toilet fixed quickly and efficiently. He even cleaned our shower head screen to help the flow there. He was polite and very patient with our questions. He was the typical high quality tech we've come to expect from Needham. We couldn't be happier.
Highly recommend Jim Needham heating and cooling company! Our Service technician Taylor did a great job was on time. Great communication called 45 minutes to an hour ahead of time letting us know what time he would show up. Taylor was here to service our tankless water heater. They also have a great annual program. Taylor also recommended other programs that they have like salt free systems and water treatment system!
Thank you again, Taylor
The last time we will use this company. There are too many good options out there. We were given a 10am-2pm window, which was then pushed to 2-5pm. And then our plumber finally showed up at 6pm. The customer service personnel were horrible, uninformed, unapologetic, and lacked confidence in their communications.
Frontally the actual plumber who showed up saved them. But still not worth the headache of waiting around all day.
I recently had a 3/4" full brass PRV installed near a water heater that Needham had replaced 3 to 4 years earlier. I also asked them to replace the interior workings of a toilet while they were there.
I declined the toilet fix after being quoted $588. I've done dozens of those replacements, and I know the cost and time associated with it. Maybe $75 in parts and maybe 45 minutes of labor, maybe.
That got me thinking about how bad they robbed me on the PRV replacement. I couldn't be there on that particular day to oversee things, but wife was and she is not knowledgeable about those things. I looked up the part - anywhere $39 to $299 max. and I'm sure they didn't use that one.
The charge was $1,546. They made over $1,000 per hour. I'm an idiot but don't want to see anyone else get robbed by these bandits.
From a once loyal customer - ii you need-em - don't call Needam.
He was very prompt and friendly. However, there was a misunderstanding with which sink to clean and he ended up doing the opposite one that was having the smell. He insisted that the one that was smelling did not need cleaned and he just flushed the overflow drain but I’m not sure he didn’t accidentally clean the wrong one. He offered to clean mine for half off and now I’m wishing I had done it. In 13 years, we have never cleaned the pipes under the sink and I was hoping he would do that, however, he only did it under my husband’s sink and not mine (which has the smell because it is used so much more). After a few weeks, the smell is already back. He cleaned my shower drain as well, and I was hopeful that the smell wouldn’t return in that one based on the pictures he took, but I still get a faint smell. I guess I’m just going to have to go back to the baking soda and vinegar trick every few weeks. I was hoping he could completely remedy the yucky drain smell!
I was pleased with the fact that he didn’t wanna charge me for drains that didn’t want to be cleaned, but since mine is still smelling, I’m not really sure what to think.
