  We are renovating a 40 unit townhome community in Silverthorne CO and we have a 5 person design committee that worked hard to make recommendations on new siding colors and design, but we couldn't quite come to consensus to make a recommendation to our Board. We were fortunate to be directed to Kate Wyeth in Contractor Sales at Builders First Source in Silverthorne. She not only listened to each and every one of our different points of view but she was able to fine tune the gist of what we wanted and needed. Her breadth of knowledge, design sense and ability to relate to all members of our committee while coming up with the perfect solution was amazing. We had spent 5 weeks on this project without being able to all agree. Kate stepped in and in one hour we were able to make a final recommendation that checked everyone's boxes. The board loved it. Yesterday's meeting with all of the 40 owners went great. We also loved her commitment to the Summit County area. Thanks, Kate.

  Great customer service from the first contact to the helpful representatives in the yard. Very accommodating with cutting a timber to fit in my vehicle. Cleanest and most organized building material supplier I have visited! Thanks!

  Kudos to Trevor at Alpine Lumber/Builders FirstSource in Silverthorne! I had a small job needing specific sized wood for a home project. Trevor was initially reticent, but once he understood more about my project was truly a partner in choosing the best wood and getting my project moved along to completion. MUCH appreciated from this long-time Silverthorne homeowner - glad to know there is a place like this (vs the big box store) locally to support us.

  I have made several attempts to work with the staff at Alpine Lumber since they opened this store, and it's just not possible. Everyone I've ever met at this location completely lacks professionalism and has zero idea how to get the materials I need, to the jobsite I need them at. On my last visit I needed to place an order for ~$6k in materials. The showroom was completely empty with the exception of 5-6 staff members standing around over-priced Milwaukee Tools talking about how hot the bosses wife is. I keep thinking, "it will be different this time," but it never is. I am done going here.

  Went by at 4pm on 12/29 after checking the hours on both the website and google to pick-up a and lumber and the yard was already closed for the day. Three other cars were with me in the parking lot looking inside and checking the doors but the yard was completely locked up. Google sends the business owner who manages your google page a reminder to update your holiday hours if they change. Makes sense if you change hours on slow weeks but someone needs to take better ownership of making sure store hours match from the website and your customers don't drive out to pick-up an order only to find out you closed early. Fundamentals!
