  The final floors look great, and Rick ultimately stood behind the work and made sure everything was corrected. He and the main craftsman came back personally to address the remaining issues and finished the job well. Rick also reduced the final bill to acknowledge the inconvenience, which I appreciated. That said, the process getting there was much rougher than it should have been. During the sanding process the crew scuffed and damaged all of the baseboards, including breaking a corner trim piece that had to be repaired and repainted. More concerning, the crew hit the cabinet next to my Sub-Zero refrigerator hard enough that it separated from the countertop and adjacent cabinet. To repair that, they had to pull out the refrigerator (over 600 lbs), which unfortunately damaged the newly refinished floor in front of it, leaving grooves in the wood. As a result, they had to re-sand and refinish about half of my kitchen again, which meant the house went back into construction mode with dust and disruption after we thought the project was finished and had paid for a deep clean for the entire house. Additionally, some of the wood filler used between boards didn’t initially hold, which required additional repairs. Even after the second refinish had dried overnight, there was still a white mark in the floor and stain splatter on my cabinets and refrigerator toe kicks, which required another return visit to correct. To Rick’s credit, he didn’t disappear when problems came up. He stayed engaged and made sure everything was fixed, and the final result does look very good. With more care during the original sanding, appliance handling, and finishing process, this likely would have been a 5-star experience.

  Haven's Hardwood to did a great job with installing new hardwoods in our main floor area. They interlaced existing hardwoods in our kitchen through our dining room and living spaces and you would never know what is new floor verses what was the existing flooring. Devon (finisher) and the installer arrived promptly every day and were detailed and had great communication through the whole process. Rick's was quick to respond with any questions we had and there was no extra expenses during the reno (which I have come to expect with any type of contract work). We are very happy with our new floors!

  This is the second time we’ve used havens hardwood for our home. It’s nice to know exactly who to call for all of our hardwood needs! They are always on time, clean, fast and the results are amazing, thanks Havens!

  Havens Hardwoods did a beautiful job installing new risers and treads on our basement staircase. They had me on the schedule within 3 weeks of accepted contract, and got the staircase done in a day. No mess left; very clean result. Beautiful precision cuts. Very fair price.

  These guys did an amazing job restoring my floors to their former glory. My house is almost 20 years old and this is the first time my Hardwood floors have been refinished. The end result is extraordinary !! I highly recommend Rick Havens and his team!!
