  I can't say enough about Victoria Lucero! When things were stalling with my project manager she jumped right in and got stuff done. She is always available if I had questions and responded quickly. I just called her 6 MONTHS after they were done to look at a screen door and again she was right on it. Thank you so much Victoria!

  Where to even start? First I would like to say the subcontractors and crew did do quality work. I would hire them again separately from Genesis Construction. But I wouldn’t even trust Genesis Construction to plan, organize, or schedule my dog’s birthday party. The project manager, Jennifer, probably doesn’t know what day of the week it is and wouldn’t call you back to tell you if she did. There were so many errors made on the my project. When I pointed out the first of many I was treated like it was my fault. There was one huge error with a lack of measurement that I was told was my responsibility, because apparently I am the one with a tape measure and not the contractor. I have a whole list of issues we had. The biggest one was the timeline of the project. We were told it would take 2 weeks. It took EIGHT WEEKS. I can understand a couple of small delays but the scheduling of workers and supplies was so bad. I had supplies sitting in my dining room for weeks because they weren’t ready to be installed. We didn’t even receive our tile until after our originally promised finish date. Who starts demo before even having all the materials in house? What professional contractor can’t time up demo and supplies so that a project time gets QUADRUPLED? Several things were ordered wrong or arrived broken which caused additional delays, including plumbing supplies and fixtures. There was massive over ordering of tile and paint, like 5 gallons of paint to paint a room that didn’t even use a full gallon. I even had to go buy my own toilet seat because Jennifer neglected to order one for our new toilet that was installed. The billing is so vague I am still unclear if I was charged for the wrong items as well as the correct ones because despite asking for an itemized bill with a labor and materials breakdown I never received one. Communication was another big miss for Genesis. We would sit for days at a time with no idea what was going on and when things would get done. We are lucky enough to work from home so we would be here for workers to show up whenever Jennifer felt like sending them. Our project was definitely not a priority for them. Every phone call or text I was made to feel like I was a burden. After the first error I asked to speak with the owner for a resolution and never received a call. After waiting several days, I ended up calling him after getting his number from one of the subcontractors (not even the project manager). Even after completion, we never got a phone call or a visit to ask if we were happy and satisfied with the work that was completed. We got an email with a final bill and that is it. There are still a few things that I settled for instead of being happy with but after 8 weeks I was just ready to have it done and over with and if I can’t live with it I will find a better company at a later date to do it better. I have seen frat parties that were planned with more care and attention to detail than my bathroom/laundry room project. Stay far away from this company if you value your time and energy.

  I still have the same problem that you said would go a way. And what to do the job I suggested in the first place and charge me more. Not a happy client. Please take me off your list.
