I don’t normally write reviews, but these guys deserve 10 stars in my book. I set up a service call for my AC unit. When Travis came to inspect everything he found water dripping inside my furnace above all the electrical cables as well as a gas leak. He showed me pictures of everything and kept me posted on all his findings. I’ve owned my townhouse for 20 years. The AC unit was 22 years old and my furnace is 35 years old. For safety reasons alone he was recommending new units for both. My brother, who has worked in HVAC was skeptical of me having a big corporation do a service call, convinced that they try to upsell you. I had him on speaker phone with Travis B. to go over all his findings. My brother was incredibly impressed with Travis’s ethics and everything he said he would try to do to help me. Ultimately, even my brother was in agreement of Travis’s findings. Travis called the project manager, Rob Quinn to come and give me the quote for both a new furnace and AC unit. Again, I put my brother on speaker phone. Again, my brother was impressed with Rob as well. I now have technicians coming today to replace both. While such a big purchase is never easy to swallow, I’m so grateful to these two men to have saved me from a worse outcome. My situation was pretty serious and it’s going to be resolved today!! Super fast, super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and I can’t brag enough about these two!!! Thanks guys! From the bottom of my heart! Thank you!!!
Title: Be cautious—cheap diagnostic fee but predatory pricing, forced subscriptions, and retaliatory behavior
I called AAA Service Plumbing, Heating & Electric because my AC outdoor condenser fan stopped working. While their initial diagnostic fee was very cheap, the overall experience was highly concerning and felt like a massive sales trap.
First, the quote they gave me to fix the condenser fan was an astronomical $4,900. They aggressively pushed a financing plan, trying to frame it as "only $50 a month" to make the massive price tag look smaller. They also claimed that the condenser motor and the main board motor are interconnected and must be replaced together, along with several other unexplained fees.
The biggest red flag came when I asked for a written copy of the $4,900 quote. They flatly refused to give me the breakdown. The technician became very rude and told me, "We only provide written quotes to our customers." I pointed out that looking at a quote to earn my business is how you acquire a customer, but they insisted that I had to purchase a $200 annual membership/maintenance plan first just to be considered a "customer" and get the paperwork. It was completely ridiculous, and I politely asked them to leave.
Furthermore, if you do hire them for a diagnostic, please make sure to watch them closely the entire time. After I rejected their quote, they became incredibly impatient while putting my outdoor unit back together. I later hired another independent HVAC technician who verified that the previous technician had swapped two wires inside the control board panel before leaving. This felt like intentional retaliation for denying their quote and caused a whole new set of problems.
You can use them for their cheap initial check, but please protect yourself: do not fall for their high-pressure financing tactics, never pay a fee just to see a quote, and absolutely watch them the entire time they are reassembling your equipment.

Amelia was GREAT, super knowledgeable and kind. Our a/c wasn’t working and she needed someone else to come out to discuss pricing for a possible replacement. Her boss came to our house and immediately made a weird rude comment about our kitchen island being “a lot” and then proceeded to tell me I needed an electrical panel(?) for anywhere between 9 and 12k-nothing to do with the a/c. Checked my house inspection and the only thing the guy noted was a loose wire and he was extremely thorough. Never heard a word about how much the a/c would cost because I asked them to leave at that point. Got a feeling in my gut that it was a scam and then checked the yelp reviews and apparently this seems to be their selling tactics. They did waive the inspection fee since I was already inside and told them to leave through the gate, which was nice.
Call someone else, I don’t know who because the other HVAC people we called to try to fix our a/c instead were so focused on selling us a new furnace they didn’t fix the a/c properly, so it seems like nobody is honest in this business. Times are tough and I get people need money but we likely would’ve gotten a new system from them had the dude just given us the a/c quote instead of trying to work us for every last dollar we have. Avoid avoid avoid is all I can say!
This was our year to have every major system in the house go out so this review will be a little long b/c I'm doing it all in one shot.
HEATER: Our furnace went out in February, and we decided to install a heat pump with a backup furnace because of an Xcel rebate and since our evaporative cooler was nearing the end of its life. The new system is incredibly quiet compared to our old, oversized furnace. During a cold snap, technicians BRANDON M. and JOE O. worked long hours—often after dark—to make sure we had heat every night. When a defective part delayed completion by a day, they brought us portable oil heaters so we stayed comfortable. While the job took a little longer than expected, that's the reality of HVAC work, where unexpected issues can arise once a project begins. A few weeks later, JOE O. returned to adjust our existing whole-house humidifier and showed us how to maintain proper humidity with the new system. We really appreciated their dedication and expertise.
WATER HEATER: In February, we discovered a "dry leak" and learned our water heater was about nine years past its expected lifespan. We chose a tankless system to save energy and water. After installation, however, it took 1–1.5 minutes to get hot water, which was frustrating given our area's drought conditions. We contacted AAA, and they responded quickly, installing a recirculation pump and timer that resolved the issue. We appreciated their responsiveness and RYAN D.'s excellent installation.
ELECTRICAL PANEL: Because our original 1973/74 electrical panel couldn't support the new HVAC and tankless water heater, it needed to be upgraded. BEAU A. and SERG did an outstanding job, bringing everything up to code and leaving us with a panel that's much easier to access and clearly labeled.
SEWER LINE: In late February, while cleaning up after the utility room work, I noticed water backing up through the floor drain. A camera inspection revealed that the original cast iron sewer line under the house was failing. Fortunately, the clog was cleared that night, allowing us to carefully use the plumbing until the repair could be scheduled over Spring Break. SAM was our main point of contact and handled the difficult news with honesty, empathy, and professionalism. After investing in three major home systems, learning that our basement floor would also need to be torn up was tough, but SAM made the process much easier to navigate. CARLOS and DOMINICK T. completed the sewer line replacement, and despite the messy nature of the job, they were outstanding. It's hard to watch your basement be torn apart, but they worked efficiently and professionally. When we later discovered the new concrete was slightly too high to reinstall the tile, CARLOS returned to grind it down. Their attention to detail and commitment to making everything right were exceptional.
HVAC SYSTEM RATTLE: We recently noticed a rattle coming from the outdoor unit. When NICK L. first came out, the noise wouldn't reproduce, but he tightened several components as a precaution. The next day the rattle returned, and I was able to better identify where it was coming from. JOE O. came back, investigated further, tightened additional components, and adjusted the pipe where it was contacting the metal housing, resolving the issue.
DRAIN CLEARING: We've had to have drain technicians several times. It took me a few times to realize that the technicians I was getting weren't the same even though they look alike. Well, that's because there are 3 brothers that all work for AAA. Shout out to JACOB G. , JEREMIAH G. , and JIMMY G. All of them have been very professional and thorough listening and responding to all my concerns.
I would highly recommend this company.

Bad experience with heat pump install.
We expected our installer to arrive between 9-11, hopefully closer to 9. At 6:40am we got a text he was on his way and would arrive in 22 minutes. We rushed to get up and dressed. Over an hour later I called because the tracker showed he would arrive in 17 minutes for that entire hour. Dispatch said he was at the warehouse and would be here around 9. I kept checking the tracking and at one point he was 11 minutes away, 5 miles away on the map and then 5 min later he was back to the 17 minute away location. By 9am, still 17 minutes away and not moving.
After the guys finally arrived, they were great. Very respectful of our space and we were comfortable leaving the house for most of they day while they continued to work. They did run into some issues with our install, some exhaust issues not mentioned in our original walk through and sale, but they took time to show and explain everything to us.
In our sales meeting on a Friday there was a big push to decide and get started right away, even including what we were told was a discount that might not be available if we waited until Monday for the install. But because they ran into issues Saturday, they couldn't get the needed parts on Sunday, meaning we were now without cooling all day Sunday.
All the way into Sunday they did not send us the actual contract with the specs and dollar amount we agreed to. They did send us the satisfaction agency specific guarantees but not our actual contract. I asked about it during my 8am call Saturday and was told by dispatch that the office staff would send it after 9. We finally got it mid day Sunday after talking to someone else on the phone.
One of the line items was the yearly club membership, which we had been told was "free" for the first year, not included. We chose not to fight about $200 on a $26000 bill.
Our installers finally completed installing the system on Tuesday. But we had three large holes in the ceiling they had to cut to get to pipes. The installers kept us updated throughout despite that the sales person never mentioned drywall work. When we asked the office, I was initially told that their contactor could give us a quote. I pushed back that part of the deal we agreed to was the assurance that anything unforseen would be covered by AAA. I have been assured now by our sales person this will be covered. We did not hear from anyone about scheduling the drywall all week. We failed our city inspection during that time. I called the office on Friday, a week from the original sale to ask about the inspection fix and the drywall. I was told someone would call me.
The dry wall guy called a week after install and couldn't get us scheduled for an additional 2 weeks, putting this now as a three week project, when they pushed us to do it quickly during the sale. I have repeatedly confirmed we will not be asked to pay more for the drywall but I will believe it when I see it.
