After bringing my power mower to the service department for 7 plus years for maintenance and general repair … my last visit for cable repair and back fire issue … which they caused the backfire issue a couple of months ago.I go to use the power mower first day back (in the shop for 11 days) Not enough power from engine to cut thin grass. Called Derek and asked him for a solution… he states I have no solution… so that is the service you get at Poudre Valley CO-OP.

Went in to get 2 propane tanks filled on 5.28 .26 about 4:45 pm, 1 empty and 1 partially filled. During the filling the attendant visually re-certified the 2 tanks and stated” you’re good until 2031” and filled the tanks. No mention of $ or anything and in fact that last time I needed a tank re-certified the attendant here suggested just paying for a tank exchange from a local big box store instead of re-certifying an old tank. Went into pay for propane to not only find that I was being charged for 2 empty tanks, but an additional $6 per tank for certification. When questioned about the extra $12 and how there was no mention of the additional charge from the filling attendant all that I was repeatedly told was “that’s a new hire out there and we’ll get on him” but you still owe $12 for tank re-certification. Only way to get the $12 back was to “watch you physically remove the tags”. I would have just exchanged the tanks had I been told they needed to be certified so I could get new ones. Now I’m stuck with 2 older tanks, out $12 and y’all lost a 15+ year customer over lack of transparency and a staff that refused to assist by telling me “that’s how it is, there is nothing that we can do”. In a world of big box retailers where I rather shop local, this was a terrible look for a local Indy business. Shame on you Poudre Valley Co-op.
