  I purchased my first home with an ancient ac unit and after multiple consultations with other company’s decided to have a carrier heat pump installed by these guys. My install tech Evan Kemblel did an amazing job. All said and done I got a brand new heat pump and air handler, a fresh main duct line with a better filter, an ionizer, a new condensation pump, mastic seal throughout all the accessible ventilation, and plenty more small bits and ends that really improved the quality of my system. After the install, Evan walked me through the whole system top to bottom, took me in the crawlspace to see all the work that was done, and gave me some good tips for maintenance. Only issue we ran into was needing a different thermostat but they handled that and got a nice Honeywell one installed as quickly as they could. Overall, Evan did a great job. He definitely takes pride in his craft and was also happy to answer my random questions. Cody White did my inspection and as far as I can tell did a bang up job, spent a good amount of time on everythin, only found 1 minorest of minor issue, and fixed it immediately. I’ve dealt with a lot of companies and general contractors in my life. These people and this company are top 3 best I’ve interacted with. It was genuinely enjoyable doing business with them and that’s hard to find these days. Extra brownie points for still being family owned! All said and done there were of course some hitches in the process and it was plenty expensive, but the quality of work and employees was well worth it. They were quick to resolve any issues that arose, kind, responsive, and dealt with all the rebates. You really can’t ask for much more than that. Thank you Evan and origins for making my home comfortable and efficient!

  Zack was great! He came overly prepared for what was expected to be a maintenance appt and identified significant issues and recommended a great solution. He removed and replaced our water heater while I was at work, being very conscientious of cleanliness and personal effects in the home. When I returned from work he took the time to go over everything with me even though he had already done so with my wife throughout the day. He was very patient as I asked questions and took the time to ensure I was comfortable with the new instillation and current operation of the water heater. Great experience!

  Fort Collins Heating and Air are the people you want to work with. It is very clear that the company takes care of its employees, which in turn passes down to how their employees take care of you, the customer. It’s no surprise that they have been in business for 4 generations. They would not have been able to be around for so long if they weren’t doing many things right. Initial contact and estimate with Jon was first rate. He is a very experienced professional with 28 years experience in this field. Jon took the time to do a thorough review of our existing system, take house measurements, talk to us about the effectiveness of our existing and failing system before making suggestions for a new one. There was zero pressure from Jon. He could answer any questions that we had. Upon installation we were notified via text shortly before the installation team (David, Allen, Bryce, Nicholas) came to the house, along with a brief bio and photo of the person. No surprises, I like that. They were on time to the minute with their starting time, and at every step of the way they explained what they were doing and why. Add to that kind of service is when one person would leave to run an errand, pick up ducting, etc, we were told where they were going and how long they expected to be gone. Very polite, respectful communication. They treated us, the homeowner and customer, as if they reported to us. While technically this is true, I suppose, no other contractor I have worked with in 20+ years has ever done this. Very professional, very impressive.

  HIVAC replacement (heat pump & air handler) They (Dustin, Jason, Kyle) worked with a quiet professional efficiency that gave me confidence that the work was being done right. Reinstalling my aftermarket humidifier with a brazed fitting rather than a saddle valve and demonstrating the replacement of the rather unique pleated filter demonstrated attention to detail. Dustin clearly described the dos and don’ts (eg don’t cottonwood screen the intake side of the heat pump, do leave 30 inches of room on the exhaust side) They finished a bit early on the second day, cleaned up the install areas (they had laid down runners) and Dustin remarked that they were actually going to another site “where some of our colleagues are struggling a bit”. Colleagues is a term professionals use to describe others of like skills. And it fits.

  It was such a bummer when our AC went out during the extreme heat wave a couple of weeks ago. In what could have been a stressful situation, FC Heating and Air was such a blessing. They were able to come out right away to diagnose the issue and then got us on the schedule in time to qualify for some great rebates. Scott, Steven and Luke were wonderful. Our job was scheduled for two days, but they were able to get it done in one. Scott did the final walkthrough with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly and knowledgably. He really went above and beyond to make sure I understood our new system. I love that FC H&A is still privately owned and hasn't been swallowed up by private equity like so many businesses have. I felt like they really cared about our predicament and finding the right solution for us. Highly recommend!
