Getting scheduled was a breeze. Someone came the same day to measure the glass on my screen door the same day. When the window arrived, I received a call to get a date/time for the window to be replaced. I did ask if I needed to be home and was informed that as long as the screen door was unlocked and was accessible, I did not need to be there. I then asked if I needed to clean up the glass. The window was shattered but only a few pieces of glass had fallen out. She said "No, our service man will clean up all of the glass. Great. The day of the replacement came and I did not see anyone come by, I called and was told that the man did show up, that he knocked but no one answered. He picked up the piece that goes around the window as it needed to be installed at the shop. I checked my cameras, and he arrived right after 8:00 and was gone by 8:10. I came home for lunch, and found glass all over the street where he had parked, on the sidewalk next to the street, the pathway leading up to my house, found a pile in the grass, lots of glass on the steps to the front door and all over the porch. So much for cleaning up. I spend 45 mins picking up glass and got about 1 1/2 cups of glass. The next day I called to see when he was going to install the glass, and since he was at the shop, he was going to come right away. I was about to leave to go back to work, when he arrived. He did not say anything to me, so I introduced myself. He said I came yesterday and heard your dogs barking but no one came to the door. Then he said his name was Dan. I explained to hime that when I made the appointment, I had been told I did not need to be home as long as he had access. He grumbled something and placed the window in and left. Total time was about 3 minutes.
While making the appointment and getting scheduled was great, I really did not appreciate coming home and finding glass everywhere. I would have just removed it prior to having him come over, if I had known. Also, did not find his attitude to be professional at all. Would I recommend Moffat Glass? I might, but I would tell them to ask for anyone but Dan to do the work.
