- DCD ColoradoFeb 28, 20261.0Been in my oakwood home for 20 years I can't even tell you the amount of craftsmanship that we had to fix from simple incorrect installation and build. Absolutely disgusting do not buy an Oakwood home. Some of the repairs that we've had to make to correct to the house for general build has been so expensive we've had to do it in phases these boxes are junk.

We honestly expected the process (of buying a home in general) to feel very transactional and that support would end once the papers were signed, but Chris (along with our Oakwood sales representatives and closing team) went above and beyond. In passing he would make sure we had the resources we needed, and answered questions we hadn’t even thought to ask. Our sales reps have reached out as well after closing to make sure we are doing well and send their best wishes. I didn’t expect post closing to leave a positive impact on me but it did. Thank you Oakwood team.
- AVAndres VacaJul 31, 20231.0These guys are scumbag builders who put quantity over quality. It’s been a year and I still can’t get anything above a light switch accomplished. My 20k upgraded bathroom is not leveled and drained appropriately it pools up every time I take a shower. I have a 3/4 inch gap filled with silicone between the glass and the wall. My 10k porch upgrade had a 3 foot drop to my backyard which has a terrible slope that rendered it useless. I look around, and my neighbors have the same problem. If the reason you buy a house is to have a backyard, oakwood isn’t the builder for you. They pawn off all their builder defects to Shazam and shazam will drag everything out and stop answering after the year.
