  I personally hired Tommy for a limited scope of touch-up work before listing our home. The work was completed according to what we agreed upon, and I was pleased with the result. He was professional, dependable, and completed the work we hired him to do. I would absolutely recommend him based on my experience as his actual customer!

  I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others know what to expect. When we purchased our home in May, the sellers hired Tommy to complete several agreed-upon paint touch-ups before closing. During our final walkthrough, we discovered that many of those items had not been completed. Rather than delaying closing, the sellers' agent offered to provide Tommy's contact information so we could coordinate directly. Tommy later confirmed that the sellers had informed him of this plan. When I first spoke with Tommy, I explained the remaining items that needed attention, including wall touch-ups, baseboards, accent walls, removal of painter's tape that had been left behind, information about the paint colors used, and why several paint cans had been left open, making the remaining paint unusable. During that conversation, Tommy told me his crew had reported the work as complete, but he admitted he had not personally verified it. He apologized, said he would speak with his crew, and told me he would arrange with me when to come by to finish the remaining items. The following day, however, I received a text message stating that because the sellers had already paid him, the job was considered complete and he would not be returning. This was surprising given our conversation the night before. There were paint touch-ups that did not match the existing wall color, painter's tape still attached to baseboards where work had never been finished, paint drips on the hardwood flooring, and multiple paint cans left open in the basement. I sent Tommy photographs and asked whether he believed the project reflected a completed job. Rather than addressing the concerns shown in the photos, he repeated that the sellers had paid him and therefore the project was complete. I understand that mistakes happen on job sites. What matters is how a contractor responds when those mistakes are brought to their attention. In this case, I was disappointed that there was no effort to inspect the work, discuss the concerns, or stand behind the quality of the finished product. My concern is not simply that the work was incomplete, but that there was no willingness to resolve clearly documented issues after they were brought to his attention. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Tommy and would encourage anyone considering hiring him to carefully inspect the work before making final payment.

  Definitely a five-star company!! We just had the interior of our house painted and could not be happier with the final result! Everyone we interacted with was so friendly, helpful, skilled, respectful, and kind. Alex, our project manager, was patient, helpful, and knowledgeable with every aspect of our project. She helped us so much with choosing a color and making sure it would look great. I would not hesitate recommending Tommy and his entire crew to anyone in need of a painter for their home. They are fabulous and you will love the beautiful result!!! I cannot say enough...just call them!

  We had a truly fantastic experience working with Tommy and American Painting. From start to finish, their team was incredibly professional and communicative. They started by listening carefully to all of our concerns. It was clear they were committed to building a relationship, not just completing a job.Their expertise was invaluable; they made excellent recommendations and consistently consulted with our general contractor to ensure everything was aligned. We particularly appreciated the thorough walkthroughs at the beginning and end of the project, as well as the mid-day check-ins from their Project Manager. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were exceptional. We will absolutely be using them again for any future painting needs.

  If I could give a 6 star review I would! American Painting painted the whole interior of my 1800 sf apartment (walls, base trim, rails, doors, sills) in 2 days. Not only did he do that, he power washed my garage floor, fixed a curtain rod and replaced light bulbs for free. Very grateful for the hard work, and fair pricing. I would highly recommend this company.
