- PTPatricia TrujilloApr 10, 20251.0We own a home with Richmond America Home and we are very disappointed with the construction. Since we moved in, we've had issues with the roof. First, the garage roof leaked, and a few months later, the house began to crack in the master bedroom and kitchen. At first, we thought the house was settling, but the cracks got worse in several places. They sent someone to inspect the roof and found a vent, which they fixed with silicone instead of flashing, which is how it should have been repaired. We've been reporting the damage and contacting warranty service since November, but to date, they haven't finished repairing all the damage, including the carpet, which was also damaged. It's already April, and my warranty expires in May. There is a warranty, but they told us that they would not cover any home repairs beyond one year, when the warranty expires. We requested an extension of my home warranty because they still haven't repaired damage that could have been prevented with a better inspection. They have not given us an extension or agree to cover the repairs that are made for an extended period.
