Wow 🤩! They came recommended from a previously used contractor I have worked with several times. The clean up was as if they were never here (aside from the drywall repairs needed after a repipe 🤣). Honestly I have never had a plumbing crew clean after themselves so well!!! I will definitely use them again. Thank you, Gary. 👍🏼

Our AC was leaking and they were able to come out the day after I called. They showed up on time, were extremely thorough, answered all my questions, explained everything they did, showed me pictures and videos of their work and explained the priority level for any recommendations they had. I also thought their prices were really fair. They have a thorough service plan and i signed up for that as well. They were professional, polite, and experienced! Highly recommend!
Frequently Asked Questions About Rodgers Air Conditioning & Plumbing
How often should I schedule AC maintenance in Winchester?
Most air conditioning systems in Winchester, CA should receive professional maintenance at least once per year, ideally before summer heat arrives. Regular maintenance extends unit lifespan, prevents breakdowns, and improves energy efficiency. At Rodgers Air Conditioning and Plumbing, we recommend annual tune-ups to catch small issues before they become costly repairs.
What are the signs my AC needs refrigerant leak detection?
Common signs include reduced cooling capacity, ice buildup on refrigerant lines, hissing sounds near the unit, and higher energy bills. Refrigerant leaks prevent your system from cooling effectively and can damage the compressor. Professional leak detection identifies the source so repairs restore proper cooling performance and prevent further system damage.
How does proper AC sizing affect installation?
Proper sizing ensures your air conditioner matches your home's cooling load based on square footage, insulation, and climate conditions. An oversized unit cycles on and off frequently, wasting energy and reducing comfort, while an undersized unit runs constantly without cooling adequately. Professional load calculations during installation guarantee optimal performance and efficiency for Winchester's hot summers.
What's the difference between tank and tankless water heaters?
Traditional tank water heaters store 30–80 gallons of hot water and reheat continuously, while tankless units heat water on demand without storage. Tankless models provide endless hot water and use less energy but have higher upfront costs. At Rodgers Air Conditioning and Plumbing, we help you choose based on household size, usage patterns, and budget.
When should I consider pipe rerouting instead of repair?
Pipe rerouting makes sense when you're planning renovations, dealing with repeated leaks in the same area, or facing corrosion in older plumbing. Re-piping also resolves poor water pressure caused by outdated configurations. This service prepares your plumbing system for remodels and prevents ongoing repair costs from failing pipes.
What causes water heater temperature fluctuations?
Temperature inconsistencies often result from sediment buildup in the tank, a faulty thermostat, or a worn heating element. Regular water heater maintenance prevents sediment accumulation and identifies component issues early. Professional inspection and repair restore reliable hot water delivery and improve energy efficiency in your Winchester home.
How does new ductwork improve AC efficiency?
New or upgraded ductwork eliminates leaks, improves airflow distribution, and reduces energy waste from poorly sealed connections. Proper duct installation ensures conditioned air reaches every room without loss, lowering utility bills and improving comfort. At Rodgers Air Conditioning and Plumbing, we design ductwork to match your system's capacity and your home's layout.
What's the biggest mistake homeowners make with AC maintenance?
Skipping annual maintenance is the most common mistake, leading to reduced efficiency, higher energy costs, and unexpected breakdowns during peak cooling season. Regular tune-ups catch refrigerant leaks, dirty coils, and worn components before they fail. Preventive care extends your air conditioner's lifespan and keeps it running optimally through Winchester's hot summers.
Can sewer line issues cause drainage problems throughout my home?
Yes, blockages or breaks in the main sewer line affect all drains in your home, causing slow drainage, gurgling sounds, and sewage backups. Tree roots, aging pipes, and ground shifts commonly damage sewer lines. Professional sewer line repair or replacement restores proper drainage and prevents costly water damage inside your property.
What factors affect the cost of AC installation?
Installation costs depend on system size, energy efficiency rating (SEER), brand selection, ductwork condition, and complexity of the installation. Higher SEER units cost more upfront but deliver long-term energy savings. At Rodgers Air Conditioning and Plumbing, we help Winchester homeowners balance initial investment with performance and operating costs.
