Started well, ended badly.
Called Crocker for a whining, poorly-cooling Samsung mini-split. The $150 diagnostic found a bad fan motor. They said they’d order the part and be back to install motor and do a deep clean. This was in early July. The motor took six weeks to arrive, and getting an update on timing was its own ordeal. I called three separate times and never got a clear answer on when it would be ready.
When the technician finally came to do the fan motor replacement and coil cleaning, the visit itself was a letdown: he left the space dirty, didn't put everything back together properly, and broke a picture frame hanging on the wall in the process even though I asked him to take them down.
After the "completed" repair, the minisplit wasn’t cooling properly and within 48 hours—the compressor stopped working entirely. Now we’re in a heatwave. The next technician who came to look at it couldn't diagnose the issue and said he'd need to check with the office — no timeline given, no real follow-up after that. I called and inquired. This was on a Thursday. I didn’t hear back until Tuesday. Again, in the middle of a heatwave.
FYI: The original $150 diagnostic fee was never credited toward the final repair invoice, which is standard practice most places, but not for Crocker.
The second company diagnosed a failed PCB inverter board — raising real questions about whether the original repair addressed the actual problem. I'm paying 50% of the original repair since the fan motor genuinely needed replacing (Crocker did agree to this so that’s why the 2 stars and.not 1 star), but between the six-week wait, the unprofessional service visit, and the lack of accountability from start to finish, I can't recommend this company. Full price would have been $800 - $1000.
