I rarely leave reviews, but SD Gutters earned this one. Matt and his crew were fantastic to work with from start to finish. They repaired existing gutters, replaced damaged sections, and took the time to make sure everything was functioning exactly as it should.
What impressed me most was their attention to detail. Rather than rushing through the job, they carefully inspected the entire system, tested the gutters with water, and addressed every leak they found. Their team spent the entire day on the project and never cut corners.
The quality of the workmanship was excellent, the crew was courteous and professional, and the job site was left clean when they finished. It’s hard to find contractors who are this dependable and committed to doing things right. I would not hesitate to hire SD Gutters again and highly recommend them to anyone needing gutter repair or replacement.

Raymond and Jeremiah were excellent. Showed up on time. Very professional. Explained the process of installing our new rain gutters. Completed the work quickly and cleanly. I wish more contractors showed the professionalism and pride that this company and staff do. Well done and highly recommended.

Office manager Bill sent out team to review and provide estimate for replacement of our gutters. Our building manager carefully researched and interviewed multiple companies. He choose San Diego Rain Gutters Inc. based on his conversations with Chris.
Chris made a lot of promises and exceeded them all. We ended up with a beautiful end product. Price remained in line with estimate despite additional work needed. Special care was taken to ensure quality and the addition of a necessary and previously nonexistent downspout.
We are very satisfied and highly recommend Chris, Justin, and San Diego Rain Gutters Inc.

Great installers. The office scheduling was challenging due to recent rains but they were good enough to accommodate me with a Saturday install.

Frequently Asked Questions About San Diego Rain Gutters
Aren't all rain gutters the same?
Not at all. While every rain gutter system serves the same basic purpose-catching and directing rainwater from your roof-they differ significantly in shape, size, material, color, and overall quality. Some gutters are pre-fabricated sections joined with connectors, like those available at local lumberyards. Others are custom-fabricated specifically for your property. Since seamless gutters are made to order, the materials, components, design layout, installation process, and craftsmanship quality vary considerably between contractors. If you're considering rain gutter replacement, we're here to help.
What is the difference between your rain gutter and another company's?
San Diego Rain Gutters provides six exclusive brand-name products: Storm Master, Black Thunder, Titan, Rain Star, Euro-Classic, and American Half Round. These brands are exclusive to our company and are recognized throughout the industry as benchmark systems. We source only American-made metals and materials from trusted suppliers including Reynolds Aluminum, Alcoa Metal Products, Barmett, Englert, and Owens Corning. Our skilled technicians assemble and install these components to create the most durable, long-lasting rain gutter systems on the market. Every system is backed by our reputation and guarantee, so contact us today to learn more about our gutter replacement solutions.
How often should I clean my gutters?
Gutters require cleaning based on conditions and debris accumulation. We recommend inspecting your gutters at least twice annually. If you see significant buildup of dirt and leaves during your inspection, schedule a cleaning right away.
Why do I need so many choices?
If you were shopping for a roof for your home, would you choose a roofing contractor that only offered one type of roof? Probably not. Every homeowner has different preferences, just as every home is unique. Likewise, some homes may need one style of rain gutter replacement, while others require a different option. Rather than trying to make a single solution work for everyone, San Diego Rain Gutters offers more than 21 types of rain gutters. According to House Cashin, 98% of basements experience some level of water damage. Let us help you minimize this problem! We are happy to help you choose the right rain gutter for your home.
Why don't your competitors offer as many choices?
In our experience, properly equipped installation trucks can cost up to $45,000 each. Many of our competitors are unable or unwilling to invest in the equipment, inventory, and training required to offer the wide variety of gutters available from San Diego Rain Gutters. Our commitment is to provide the best selection and highest quality at the best price. Call us today to learn more about our rain gutter replacement services.
Am I going to be sold something I don't really need?
Absolutely not! In fact, we don't view our estimators as salespeople. They are experienced, knowledgeable professionals in the rain gutter replacement industry whose goal is to help you find the rain gutter system that best fits your home and budget. You'll never feel pressured to purchase anything you don't need. We also keep our quotes valid for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to review your options and compare before making a decision.
My wife and I work during the day. Do I have to be home for an estimate?
No, you don't need to be home. While we prefer that you're there so we can answer any questions you may have about your gutter replacement, it's not required. In fact, many of our customers have purchased rain gutter systems from us without ever meeting with our estimators or installation team in person.
Do you carry leaf protection products?
We offer several types of leaf protection products to help keep your rain gutters performing their best. Even if you don't have trees in your yard, we strongly recommend installing leaf screens on your new rain gutters. Remember, any debris that lands on your roof will eventually make its way into your gutters and could clog the downspouts. The last thing you want is to be clearing a clogged downspout during a rainstorm—it's dangerous, uncomfortable, and messy. Adding leaf screens to your new rain gutters can provide year-round protection against overflowing gutters and clogged downspouts. Contact us to learn more about our gutter replacement services.
My gutter is holding some water. Was it installed wrong?
No, it's completely normal for rain gutters to retain a small amount of water. When your rain gutters were installed, we applied a minimal pitch to create a slight slope that directs water toward the downspout during rainfall. Once the rain stops, however, the water loses its momentum and a small amount may remain in the gutter. This minor pooling is harmless and will naturally evaporate over time.
Water is leaking between the gutter and the fascia board. Is my gutter up wrong?
A rain gutter can only collect the water that flows directly into it. If water is leaking behind the gutter, it means that water was unable to enter the gutter in the first place. The underlying cause of the problem should be identified, and any necessary repairs should be made to the roof. This type of issue is best addressed by a licensed roofing specialist.
Can my gutters be painted if I change the color of the house?
Yes! The gutter colors offered by San Diego Rain Gutters can be painted if you decide to update your home's exterior. Proper preparation is important for achieving the best results, so consult a painting professional for recommendations.
What kind of paint should I use?
A high-quality exterior latex paint is generally recommended. Before painting, make sure the gutters are properly cleaned and prepared to ensure good adhesion and long-lasting results.
I will be getting a new roof installed in a few years. Will this affect the gutters?
A high-quality exterior latex paint is generally recommended. Before painting, make sure the gutters are properly cleaned and prepared to ensure good adhesion and long-lasting results.
I will be getting a new roof installed in a few years. Will this affect the gutters?
Not if you take a few simple precautions. When selecting a new roof, make sure it does not extend into the gutter by more than 50% of the gutter's width. For example, if you've purchased our Black Thunder rain gutter, which is 5 inches wide, the new roof tile or shingle should not project more than 2.5 inches into the gutter. Also, don't allow your roofer to rest a ladder against the gutter without proper bracing and protection. Once the roofing work is finished, the gutters should be inspected for debris. Small pieces of construction material left on the roof often wash into the gutters and can cause clogs. After your new roof installation is complete, it's a good idea to thoroughly inspect and clean your gutters.
There is a gap between my fascia and the gutter; shouldn't the gutter be closer?
The back of the gutter is not intended to be completely watertight. Achieving a perfect seal would be nearly impossible because both the fascia and the back of the gutter have natural irregularities. These natural variations create the gap. As long as the gutter is properly positioned beneath the tile or shingle, it will collect the water that flows into it.
Can my downspouts be tied into an underground system later?
Yes. In fact, we strongly recommend connecting downspouts to an underground drainage system whenever possible. This allows water to be directed away from the property efficiently. Our downspouts can be modified to connect with these systems when needed.
I have a small garden. Is there any way I can collect some rainwater?
Yes! We offer solutions that allow homeowners to redirect some or all of their rainwater into a collection container. This can be a convenient way to provide water for gardens, landscaping, and other outdoor uses.
When my trees mature, can a screen be added over the gutters to keep out leaves?
Yes! San Diego Rain Gutters offers several types of leaf screens that can be added after your gutter system is installed. These products help reduce debris buildup and make gutter maintenance easier. Contact our office for additional information and a free estimate.
Are all rain gutters the same?
No, rain gutters vary in shape, size, material, color, and quality. Some are pre-formed with joints, while others are custom-made seamlessly, differing in design and installation quality among companies.
Why does San Diego Rain Gutters offer so many gutter choices?
