  Our air conditioning wasn't working, they sent a tech (who did good- so no reflection on him), he worked for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Replaced a capacitor and cleaned out a P-trap in one sink and wiped down the unit. They charged $812!!! We had a capacitor in our garage that we bought for $50. They literally charged us $541 for a $50 capacitor. The tech replaced the old one with a new one before he even ran it by me. I would have said no thanks, we can hook up a capacitor ourselves. The manager was extremely rude and condescending when we called to inquire about the 900% mark up!!!! Take back your capacitor we can hook up our own, but refused to do anything and said, well you already paid. DO NOT USE THEM!

  Unfortunately, the scheduling process has been extremely frustrating. Our appointment was rescheduled twice by the company, resulting in us having to wait weeks for the appropriate technician. I requested an earlier appointment multiple times but was told nothing sooner was available. Our appointment was finally scheduled for today, and I confirmed it multiple times. Despite that, no one showed up, and we received no call or communication letting us know there was an issue. As a long-time customer who has referred numerous friends and clients to this company over the years, I’m incredibly disappointed. I’ve trusted and recommended this company based on my previous experiences, so it’s especially frustrating and embarrassing to receive this level of service after sending so much business their way.

  Action Air Conditioning and Heating did a terrific job helping us get my 92-year-old father’s air conditioning back up and running during the recent heat wave in San Diego County. After the initial diagnostic and some back-and-forth regarding the repairs, their team worked hard to speed up the order process and get everything handled as quickly as possible. I called several times and spoke with Genesis and Morgan, both of whom provided exceptional customer service. They were kind, responsive, and reassuring throughout the process. The technician arrived on time, completed the repairs, and everything is working perfectly. Action Air Conditioning and Heating understood how important it was to take care of my dad quickly—and they did exactly that. Thank you for the outstanding service!

  Beware of this company. Don't waste your time. Oddly, a Realtor referred me to Neil with Action AC. I contacted Neil directly and scheduled an appointment with him on Tuesday between 10-11AM. As 11AM passed, I texted Neil to confirm he was still coming, he said he was "on his way". He showed up around 11:30. I can get past that..things happen and we can run late (even though he should have at least texted me to let me know). I discussed my plans with Neil (need to replace furnace and move it from first floor up into the attic, redo some duct work, and also I wanted a quote on adding AC). Neil was probably here for 30 minutes, checked the house, all the rooms and attic. He said he'd have the estimates to me by the end of the weekend. The weekend came and passed. I texted Neil the following Wed (8 days from his initial visit) to check status and he said he'd have the estimate over to me that day. Well, that didn't happen. I texted him again the following Monday (now 13 days from Neil's initial visit) and he said he had sent it, but he "may have sent it to the wrong email" and that he'd check shortly. I waited until day's end and still no estimate. At this point I submitted a message on the company's website (detailing everything above) and asked for somebody to call me to discuss. The next day (today), I received a text message from Action Air (not a phone call), asking for my address since they didn't have it on file. Why wouldn't they just call me? Why wouldn't they call Neil in advance to contacting me if they needed an address?..makes no sense. This was my experience with Action AC and this is why I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If it's this difficult to so much as get a quote, I'd be afraid of both the quality of their work and their commitment to customer satisfaction in general.

  STAY AWAY! I am beyond frustrated with this company. I am adding this update to my review since they responded encouraging us to speak to them directly about our frustrations with their service, mentioned below :) which we have done MORE THAN 7 TIMES so far. Either by email , text, speaking to call center , reaching out to a supervisor" It seems that nothing works. Next step is filing a complaint to BBB. We originally used them through Costco, which made us feel more confident choosing them. When we requested maintenance, they showed up quickly and charged us $600. But the worst part? After they left, our AC stopped working same day! Our system is still under warranty, yet getting them to actually come and fix the problem has been a nightmare. They repeatedly schedule appointments, forcing us to stay home and wait for them—and then no one shows up. Meanwhile, we have been living without AC in 95°F to 101°F heat, waiting for this company to fix the very system they worked on. They have told us they have the part needed, so what exactly are we waiting for? Apparently, someone to actually show up and install it! I am now filing a complaint with Costco because this level of service is completely unacceptable. If you value your time, your money, and having a working AC during extreme heat, I would strongly recommend staying away from this company.
