  As a contractor who works in high-end residential remodeling, we value design partners who are not only talented, but practical, responsive, and deeply engaged throughout the entire process. Hart Wright Architecture consistently delivers on all of those fronts. We’ve collaborated with Eliza and Stuart on complex, custom home remodels in San Francisco—projects with tight site conditions, high client expectations, and lots of moving parts. Their drawings are exceptionally well done—clear, buildable, and thought through—and our field team regularly comments on the difference that makes during construction. What we appreciate most is their presence and leadership. They don’t disappear after design; they stay involved through pricing, scope coordination, and build-out. They advocate for their clients while also understanding how to keep a project moving forward on-site, which is a rare and valuable balance.   As a contractor, to keep a project moving it is important to make decisions quickly and Hart Wright did just that, Beautiful design, fun to work with and have the ability to work with a very difficult city design-revue and building department, first class all the way , cant say enough good things, well done

  Hart Wright Architects had to work with our city's tough design review committee to win its approval and gain neighbor acceptance of a design for our new home on a very modest lot size. Hart Wright met these challenges using comprehensive research of homes in the surrounding neighborhoods to inspire a design for our new home. Hart Wright even made some creative touches to provide features important to us, including substantial overhead space, an abundance of light, and considerable well-concealed storage spaces. The result is a beautiful home that is truly a gem in our neighborhood. Construction was completed in 2015, and even now, ten years later, we continue to receive compliments almost daily on the home’s design from neighbors and passersby. And occasionally, a random driver will stop in front of the house briefly to snap a photo. If you’re looking for a professional, creative architect firm for your project, we highly recommend Hart Wright Architects.
