Frank Balistreri is amazing! Marrokal remodeled my parents home about 7 years ago. It included creating an ADA shower for my dad. Well dad passed and the shower was never used. Now that my mom is aging we tried to use it and there was no water pressure! I called Marrokal and was blessed when Frank was assigned to the job. Frank got everything fixed, new pipe, replastered, and painted at no charge to us. Marrokal stands by their work and it went very smoothly thanks to Frank Balistreri!! When I remodel, I’m using Marrokal!!

I want to thank the Marrokal team and Mike Centrullo for the beautiful home. Mike's design team from day one with the concept drawings showing how the project would look like to the end results. Mike's team are excellent people to work with. The project manager who overseen the project, to the contractors doing the work are qualified people that know there trade.

We recently completed a major gut and remodel of our downstairs, including a small addition to open up and restructure the kitchen area and square up a protruding nook. We also replaced all the backyard flatwork and built new pergolas and two decks, one with an outdoor kitchen below. We chose Marrokal because of their beautiful design work and execution, especially their unique blend of contemporary and California. At the end of the day (and every day you live there, for years afterward) that is what is going to matter to you - not how long it took, the battles you had to fight, or how much it cost. Mike Centrullo led our incredible design team and they did a superb job in turning our visions into a stunning plan, even in the middle of COVID. After the hand-off to the construction and project team Mike stayed in the loop, and was there to help when the inevitable surprises occurred. However, we never would have gotten to such a satisfactory conclusion without our project manager Cristian Romero. He was the second PM assigned to us, following debacle after debacle that ultimately resulted in nearly a year delay in our project. Once Cristian came on board he quickly got the project back on track and was always a steadying influence. He managed to balance our needs as clients with the needs of Marrokal’s business and did it in a clear and fair manner. We didn’t always get what we wanted, but when we didn’t the reasons were made very clear, and he was always open to creative solutions. Most importantly, Cristian is extremely competent and a genuinely nice person to work with, and I always looked forward to our meetings. He also brings that rare blend of quantitative and people skills that great project managers seem to naturally have – Cristian proved equally at home with coordinating multiple workflows as he was with wrangling difficult subs and calming pain-in-the-neck clients. With every structure or workmanship problem that cropped up, and with every inevitable fit and finish issue Cristian was always there to make things right. It is often said of complex projects that they will take twice as long and cost twice as much as originally anticipated. This is painfully true, and the supply chain issues post-COVID and rapid price changes did nothing to help. Could we have done this project for less money? Possibly. Would it have been as incredible? Highly doubtful — but if it was, it would have been only at the cost of much sanity, probably my job, and likely our marriage. Thank you Marrokal, we love our new (rebuilt) home!
