  I asked JRI group to come out to do a home inspection. After John arrived, he realized I was looking more for possible moisture spots in my home and switched the services. He is very thorough and kind. He didn't seem to mind all my questions. Lo and behold we found a small area behind a wall in the bathroom. There was no indication that there is a leak there! He wanted to find possible sources and we ended up in the garage in front of a cabinet placed there years before I ever moved in. He moved the cabinet and found a plumbing cleanout cap as well as 2 electrical outlets that I never knew existed! Thankfully, I am able to address this before it gets worst! Thank you John for your thoroughness!

  John Robinson is the kind of inspector you want if you care about getting the truth, not just a box checked. I found him on Yelp and chose him based on his reviews and background. He is a former Marine with quality control experience, which sounded right for the job. Before the inspection, I mentioned his name to a friend, and he immediately said, “That guy’s great.” Turns out John had inspected my friend’s house when he was selling it. He found issues that an earlier inspector had completely missed when my friend originally bought the home. It was detailed enough that my friend actually pulled the deal, fixed the problems, and sold later. That stuck with me. On inspection day, John lived up to it. He is meticulous. He does not rush and he does not gloss over anything. He encouraged me to follow along and took the time to explain what he was seeing, what mattered, and what did not. He is also clear about limits, including what he can inspect and what he cannot, which I appreciated. No overpromising. The house I bought was in very good shape, and it was obvious the prior owner maintained it well. Even so, John still found things the owner was not aware of. Most were minor, but that is not the point. The point is that he looked at everything. That level of detail gives you confidence there are no bigger issues hiding. His report was thorough, clear, and practical. No fluff, just what you need to know and what to do next. If you want someone who takes the job seriously and tells it like it is, hire John Robinson.
