- KGKameleon GraphixAug 22, 20263.0This is a new housing development in Highland, CA that my Mom and my Uncle just moved into from Las Vegas. It's a small housing track with maybe 50 or so homes in the $600k+ range. I think the homes are extremely overpriced for what they are, and where they are. The floor plans are cool, but there isn't much wow factor or value. I've also noticed a lot of flaws in the build quality as well. You can stand in your back sliding patio door and be able to spit over your back fence in any direction. With the homes starting at $600k, I don't see much value or room for appreciation in that part of San Bernardino County. Parts of the area looks like you stepped out of the 1960's. There are shopping centers sporadically filled all over with a lot of vacancies. There is also a homelessness and fentanyl Zombie problem in the city as well. These homes should be priced in the low to mid $400's at best. I have to assume that the prices of these homes went up due to the state of the world right now. I would wait until things normalize, then to buy in this environment and from this builder.
