10/15/26 Bon came out and fixed the exposed rebar and cracks in the foundation for us. Bon is very professional and thorough. He took pictures and videos for me of his work before and after. I’m really hoping he will be the one to come out every year to inspect the foundation. We started out on the wrong foot with the sales rep. Chris who did the first inspection before we decided to have the foundation lifted. I was quite impressed with Bon being so thorough. The Fairfield office is the original Groundworks that came out but I was having trouble updating the review. So, I thought I would come to the Sacramento reviews to update. Hopefully, Sacramento will forward my update to the Fairfield office.

I felt confident that my investment with Groundworks was worth the cost as a first time home owner. After having Bon Nguyen come out and service my system after a water line leak in my crawl space I cant feel more confident that my investment with Groundworks was worth every penny. If you are unfortunate enough to have to deal with flooding that could damage your home investment than you would be so lucky to get a tech like Bon to come and service your equipment. Bon went above and beyond the call of duty and I am forever in debt to him! If you are suffering from flooding in your crawl space please trust that Groundworks is the company to put your trust and investment into. And if you are lucky enough to get Bon as your technician than you will be as satisfied as I do now. I am forever in debt to Bon and I am grateful that he is my dedicated Groundworks service technician! I cant give him enough praise. He deserves a raise and a statue 👏

The work done by Groundworks on our Foundation was absolutely outstanding. It started with two hard-working gentlemen who had proper training. The proper tools, proper training We’re very knowledgeable of the job and never quit or slow down for six days while working the crawlspace hats off to two tough, quality couple of guys! I started this project by calling five companies. One company answered the phone and set up an appointment the next day. The second company set up an appointment for an interview three weeks later. Three companies never responded to the call and a voicemail. Every person I dealt with starting with the sales person, Stan CAYLOR was Knowledgeable and very responsive. Finally, the day after completion of the project, the regional manager called me and wanted to know how Groundworks had done. All I could offer was praise to a company for a job. Well done. I would strongly caution against anyone considering Groundworks for foundation evaluation. During the purchase of our home, a void was discovered beneath the foundation in the kitchen area during the home inspection. Groundworks was hired to evaluate the issue and provide a repair plan. Groundworks inspected the void and assured us the issue was minor, there was no foundation damage, and the problem could be permanently repaired for approximately $15,000. Due to needing permits and time for scheduling, the work could only be done after close of escrow. We specifically expressed concern that the problem might be larger than it appeared and asked what would happen if their diagnosis turned out to be wrong once work had begun. We were assured that Groundworks stood behind its assessment to fix the issue for the amount quoted and if they misdiagnosed the problem they would adjust their plan accordingly but the cost will not change. The inspector confirmed their quotes were “price quote guaranteed” and the quote provided would fully solve the issue. Those representations were important because we were considering walking away from the purchase. Instead, we moved forward after the sellers agreed to pay for the Groundworks-recommended repair. When Groundworks later returned to perform the work, we were informed that the original diagnosis was incorrect. Over the following months, three different Groundworks representatives provided three substantially different assessments of the same property. What began as a $15,000 repair eventually became recommendations for $80,000 when all identified repairs were considered. After expressing concerns about the conflicting information and the impact this had on our family, Groundworks management indicated they would review the situation, acknowledging and admitting fault in the initial inspection and plan that led us to purchase this home. Instead, we later received a revised proposal for the same dollar amount, but containing new language advising customers not to rely on Groundworks' inspection when making a home purchase decision. That was particularly troubling because relying on Groundworks' assessment is exactly what we had done, the original contract contained no such language, and Groundworks was 100% clear and aware their inspection was related to a home purchase. The result is that we purchased a home based in part on Groundworks' evaluation and are now facing foundation concerns and repair costs far beyond what was originally represented. We spent months attempting to resolve the matter directly with Groundworks. Groundworks declined to take action, claiming that it is our fault for not seeking a second opinion initially. Homeowners deserve accurate information when making one of the largest financial decisions of their lives and this company has proven they are untrustworthy. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Bob came out to my house for an evaluation, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the experience. He was honest, thorough, and refreshingly straightforward. He did recommend an affordable solution that could prevent a potential issue down the road, and, even more importantly, he took the time to give me a thorough explanation of what to watch for should a more serious problem ever arise. I came away from the evaluation, feeling informed, reassured, and much more confident about the condition of my home. I would give Groundworks Sacramento and Bob 10 stars if I could! The evaluation definitely put my mind at ease, and I would enthusiastically recommend Groundworks Sacramento to anyone looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy professionals Thank you, Bob!!!
