  We had an issue with our unit that had been inspected once during buying our home 10 months before and a 2nd time by redding heating and air 6 months prior to have them as a preventive maintenance for our unit.Both inspections stated unit was in proper working conditions with no major issues or need for repair. The unit is just turning 10 years old and one of selling points of the home.We had an issue with the unit and redding heating and air came out the next day and told us our unit was beyond repair and needed to be completely replaced for $12,000. Needless to say we got a second opinion, after almost 3 hours of testing and inspecting including taking a hose on to the roof were unitnis located to ensure no water was getting in the unit or roof the 2nd company stated unit had no issues or deteration to the point of major repair and/or replacement of entire unit and redding heating and air was most likely usung a scare tactic to push selling a new unit.After 2nd opinion air conditioning still works great and issue was resolved , saved $12,000 and canceled services with redding heating and air. Maybe it was a mistake on redding heating and air's end but in all honesty it felt very much like a predatory sales tactic to have us spend more money and not really about doing what was best for the customer. Especially since after explaining the issue the technician/sales rep offered to come back later and "explain it to your husband" because i was at home alone with our baby and couldn't possibly have the mental capacity of passing along the information of the financing a new unit to my husband and/or might need his permission when making financial choices for the household. The whole experience just felt off and left a bad taste in my mouth. Be careful out there.

  My technician Anthony was on time, personable, professional, very knowledgeable. He was willing to take time to answer any and all questions I had ,he spent the extra time to check The unit completely. He suggested some plans they offer to help with those maintenance costs, service call charges. I was very happy with the information.

  Redding Heating and Air came out for a tuneup. Our technician Alan did an extremely thorough evaluation and tune up on our whole system for a very reasonable price. Alan was very knowledgeable in all areas of our HVAC, he explained the issues he found and offered options for remediating them. This is the 2nd time we’ve used Redding Heating and Air. I highly recommend this company for any hvac needs.
