About

Roofing Contractor
GAX Roofing is a family-owned roofing contractor in Rancho Cucamonga serving the Inland Empire, from San Bernardino County to Orange County. We install tile, shingle, and flat roofs, and we specialize in tile lift and relay: your tile stays, the worn underlayment underneath gets replaced, and the leak is solved without paying for tile you do not need. Every job is documented with drone photos you keep, repairs are diagnosed with a thermal imaging camera so the fix lands on the source, and permits are pulled with receipts. No pressure, no upselling, the same answer we would give a family member. CA licensed C39 #1135657, bonded and insured, rated 5.0 on Google. Free estimates, English and Spanish.

Owens Corning Roof Replacement
Owens Corning Roof Replacement
Ranges on Square Footage

An Owens Corning roof replacement from GAX Roofing is not a layer of new shingles over old problems. It is a complete roof system, built from the deck up, installed by an Owens Corning certified installer, and documented with drone photos you keep. We are a family-owned roofing contractor based in Rancho Cucamonga, serving the Inland Empire from San Bernardino County to Orange County, and this is the shingle roof we put our name on. Here is what a full system actually means, because this is where cheap bids hide. Your roof is not the shingles you see from the street. It is seven layers working together, and when a contractor quotes you a number without naming the layers, you are usually buying the visible one and keeping everyone else's problems. Our replacement starts with a complete tear-off down to the wood deck. We inspect every foot of that deck, and wood replacement is written into your contract as a stated allowance before anyone climbs a ladder, so a soft spot never becomes a surprise change order. On that clean deck goes Owens Corning WeatherLock self-sealing ice and water barrier at the vulnerable spots, then ProArmor synthetic underlayment across the field, the waterproof layer that does the quiet work for decades. New metal drip edge and new flashings go on, and we mean new: reusing old flashings on a new roof is one of the most common corners cut in this industry, and it is where leaks come back first. Starter shingles lock the edges, then Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles go down with their SureNail strip nailed to manufacturer spec. When the project calls for it, we install the COOL series in the same line, which reflects more of the sun that Inland Empire summers throw at your roof. The system finishes at the top with ventilation done right: an Owens Corning VentSure ridge vent or low-profile O'Hagin vents depending on your roof, capped with DecoRidge high-profile hip and ridge shingles. Ventilation is not a detail. A roof that cannot breathe cooks its own underlayment from the attic side, and we have opened up too many ten-year-old roofs that died young for exactly that reason. Why does the certification matter? Because a shingle warranty is only as good as the installation underneath it. Manufacturer coverage holds when the system is installed to spec by trained crews, and that is precisely what an Owens Corning certified installer is trained and audited to do. You get the manufacturer's material coverage on the components, and on top of it you get the GAX 10-year labor warranty in writing: if the roof leaks because of something we did, you call us and we take care of you. No fine-print dance. Every job is documented from the air and from the deck. Our drone photographs your roof before, during, and after, so you see your actual decking, your actual underlayment, and your actual finished roof, not a brochure. If you ever sell the house, that documentation folder is proof of what is under your shingles. We pull the city permit on every replacement and you get the receipt, because a roofer who skips the permit is planning on you never verifying anything. And before the crew leaves, the site gets cleaned and the yard gets swept with magnets, twice. No nails in the grass, no scraps in the flowerbed. Our customers mention the cleanup in their reviews almost as often as the roof. The estimate itself works the way you would want if a family member were quoting you. We come out, get on the roof, and give you a real number in writing that names every component, at no cost and with no pressure. We will not sit in your living room for three hours grinding you down, and we will not sell you a loan you did not ask for. If a repair is the honest answer instead of a replacement, we will tell you that too, and we bring a thermal imaging camera on repair calls to find the actual source instead of guessing at stains. Financing options are available on approved credit for projects where the timing is bad but the roof cannot wait. GAX Roofing is licensed by the California Contractors State License Board, C39 #1135657, bonded and insured, and we hold a 5.0 rating on Google, every review from a real customer on a real roof. We serve Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Ontario, Upland, Chino, Chino Hills, Eastvale, Riverside, San Bernardino, Corona, Pomona, Claremont, and the surrounding Inland Empire, with service in English and Spanish. If your shingle roof is past 20 years old, curling, shedding granules, or already letting the first rains in, get eyes on it before the season decides for you. Free estimates. Roofs done right the first time.

Eagle Roof Replacement
Eagle Roof Replacement
Ranges on Square Footage

A full tile replacement is the biggest roofing decision a homeowner makes, because concrete tile is a 50 to 75 year product. You will live with this choice longer than most people live in the house. So at GAX Roofing we treat an Eagle Roofing tile replacement as a bespoke project, not a catalog order, and it starts before anyone touches your roof: when you are near a Eagle facility, we sometimes take a field trip with you to their Rialto plant and showroom so you can see and handle the actual tiles, in real light, at full weight, before locking in a profile and color. Pictures on a screen do not do concrete tile justice. Holding it does. Eagle Roofing Products is a leading manufacturer of concrete roof tile, made in California for California roofs, with profiles from clean flat modern lines to traditional S-curve mission styles and a color range that runs from weathered terracotta blends to slate grays. Your choice of profile and color comes from the standard catalog, and we hold one line that matters: we install standard weight tile only. We do not install lightweight tile, because in our experience it is brittle. It cracks underfoot during future maintenance, it chips in handling, and it does not earn its discount over the decades your roof has to live. Standard weight concrete tile is the honest product, so that is what we quote, and our bids are engineered around that weight from the start. The replacement itself is a complete rebuild of everything your old roof got wrong. Full tear-off down to the deck. Deck inspection with a wood replacement allowance written into your contract before work begins, so rot repairs never become surprise change orders. Titanium PSU-30 peel and stick underlayment across the deck, a high-temperature waterproofing membrane built for tile roofs and Inland Empire heat, because under a 50 year tile you do not install a 15 year felt. Then every flashing on the roof is replaced new, and we mean every one: metal drip edge, step flashings along the walls, pipe flashings, the tile pan, a chimney cricket where the roof needs one, and tile risers and bird stops sized correctly for the tile going on. Reused flashings are where cheap tile bids leak first. New roof means new flashings, period. Every job is documented with drone photography before, during, and after, so you see your actual deck and your actual underlayment, not a brochure. We pull the city permit and you get the receipt. And when the last tile is set, the site is cleaned and the yard swept with magnets. You get the manufacturer's coverage on the tile itself, which is built to last generations, and the GAX 10-year labor warranty in writing on the installation: if it leaks because of something we did, you call us and we take care of you. One honest note, because it is the most common question in tile country: if your tile is still in good shape and only the underlayment underneath has aged out, you may not need a full tile replacement at all. A lift and relay reuses your existing tile over new underlayment and costs a great deal less. We will tell you straight which one your roof actually needs, the same answer we would give a family member, and we will show you the drone photos that prove it. GAX Roofing is family-owned, based in Rancho Cucamonga, licensed C39 #1135657, bonded and insured, 5.0 on Google, serving the Inland Empire in English and Spanish. Free estimates.

Malarkey Roof Replacement
Malarkey Roof Replacement
Ranges on Square Footage

A Malarkey shingle replacement from GAX Roofing is the quiet overachiever of roof systems: a brand many homeowners have never heard of, and one many roofers quietly put on their own houses. Malarkey Roofing Products is a family-founded company that has been making shingles since 1956, and they build differently than the big names. Their shingles use polymer modified asphalt, meaning the asphalt is blended with rubberizing polymers, so the shingle stays flexible instead of going brittle, resists granule loss, and handles the daily expansion and contraction that Inland Empire heat inflicts on a roof. Their granules even include a smog-reducing coating that breaks down airborne pollutants, which is a strange and wonderful thing for a roof to do, but here in the IE we will take it. The system we install is complete, from the deck up. Full tear-off of the old roof down to the wood. Deck inspection, with wood replacement written into the contract as a stated allowance before the job starts, so a soft spot in the decking never turns into a surprise bill. Synthetic underlayment across the field for waterproofing that outlives old-style felt. New metal drip edge and new flashings at every wall, pipe, and penetration, never reused, because recycled flashings on a new roof are where leaks come back first. Then the Malarkey shingles go down, nailed to manufacturer specification, in your choice of color from the standard line. The roof breathes through low-profile O'Hagin vents, the discreet ventilation that protects your underlayment from cooking in the attic heat, and it finishes at the top with Malarkey Rapid-Ridge hip and ridge caps for a clean, defined ridge line. Every job is documented with drone photos you keep: your actual deck, your actual underlayment, your finished roof from angles you could never see from a ladder. If you ever sell the house, that folder is proof of what is under your shingles. We pull the city permit on every replacement and hand you the receipt. The site gets cleaned daily and swept with magnets before we leave, no nails in the grass, no scraps in the flowerbeds, and our customers mention the cleanup in their reviews almost as often as the roofs. On paper, you get the manufacturer's material coverage on the shingle system, and on top of it the GAX 10-year labor warranty in writing: if the roof leaks because of something we did, you call us and we take care of you. No fine-print dance, no disappearing contractor. The estimate works the way you would want if a family member were quoting you. We come out, walk the roof, and give you a real number in writing that names every component, free, with no pressure and no three-hour living room performance. If a repair is the honest answer instead of a replacement, you will hear that instead, and we bring a thermal imaging camera on repair calls so the diagnosis is instruments, not guesses. Financing options are available on approved credit. GAX Roofing is family-owned, based in Rancho Cucamonga, licensed C39 #1135657, bonded and insured, rated 5.0 on Google, serving the Inland Empire from San Bernardino County to Orange County in English and Spanish. Alumawood Patio
Alumawood Patio
Ranges on Square Footage

An Alumawood patio cover is the answer to a very Inland Empire problem: you want to actually use your backyard between May and October, and you want shade that does not become its own maintenance project. Alumawood is embossed aluminum with a realistic wood-grain finish, so it gives you the look of a classic wood patio cover with none of wood's habits. It does not rot, it does not warp, termites have no interest in it, and it never needs sanding, staining, or repainting. You hose it off. That is the maintenance schedule. At GAX Roofing we install Alumawood covers in the two classic styles, and the right one depends on how you use the space. A solid-top cover gives you full shade and a dry outdoor room, the choice for outdoor dining, a barbecue zone, or protecting patio furniture year round. A lattice cover filters the light instead of blocking it, keeping the space bright and airy while cutting the direct beat-down of the afternoon sun, the choice for plants and for people who want dappled light instead of deep shade. Both come in a range of finishes from clean solid colors to convincing woodgrains, with column and end-cap details that make the cover look like it was designed with the house instead of bolted onto it. Why does a roofing contractor install patio covers? Because a patio cover is a small roof, and the part that decides whether it lasts is the part a handyman gets wrong: the attachment. Where a cover meets the house, it has to be flashed and sealed like roofing, because water does not care whether it is running down shingles or aluminum. We integrate the connection properly with your existing roof and wall so the cover sheds water instead of channeling it into your fascia or stucco. Our crews are the same background-checked crews that build our roofs, the posts land on proper footings, the spans are sized for the cover instead of eyeballed, and the whole installation is done to the manufacturer's engineering so the wind ratings actually mean something. The process is simple. We come out, measure the space, talk through solid versus lattice and where the sun actually hits your yard through the day, and give you a real number in writing, free, with no pressure. Permits are handled the same way we handle them on roofs: pulled properly, with the paperwork you can keep. The build itself typically wraps quickly, the site is cleaned before we leave, and the finished cover is documented in photos along with the rest of our work. You can see a recent example in our gallery, a solid-top Alumawood cover we installed in Chino Hills that photographs beautifully at twilight, and there is a reason we keep that shot on our homepage. A patio cover is also the rare home upgrade you feel every single week. It drops the temperature on your back patio, protects the slider and back windows from direct sun, and turns a slab you avoided all summer into the room your family actually uses. GAX Roofing is a family-owned, C39 licensed contractor, #1135657, bonded and insured, rated 5.0 on Google, based in Rancho Cucamonga and serving the Inland Empire in English and Spanish. Free estimates. Built by roofers, which is exactly who should be building the thing that shades your family.

Had my roof replaced by GAX Roofing here in Ontario and went with the Owens Corning COOL shingles. Arthur handled it personally and kept me updated the whole way. Crew showed up when they said they would and finished on schedule. What stood out most was the cleanup. No nails, no scraps, nothing left in the yard. Easy recommendation.

GAX Roofing came out to my home in San Bernardino for a roof replacement appointment last week. Arthur came out and gave us a fair price for a cool roof with Owen’s Corning materials. The team was professional and the work was done within the week. GAX took care of the permitting and the appointments for inspection. We didn’t end up needing financing for the project but it was available. The flashing work was nice, they paint the pipes to match the roof which was a nice touch. We’d recommend GAX as a roofing contractor, they’re honest and do great roofs.

Hi GAX Roofing Team, I wanted to share my great experience with your company regarding my new roof. Arthur came out the day after I requested a quote. He was highly professional, friendly, and took the time to clearly explain the scope of work and the process. Both he and Art were also very responsive, answering all of my questions in a timely and detailed manner. The crew arrived on time and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day. They completed the project quickly, delivered great quality, and made the entire process stress-free. My new roof looks awesome and adds great value to the property. Thank you for the excellent service. E Sand

This local, family-owned roofing company was outstanding. The two sons gave a thorough, professional presentation and even matched the best quote we got from other companies. They measured the roof using satellite technology and did a detailed inspection with a drone. The crew arrived on time, did great job, and painted the roof vents to match the roof color. We’re really happy with the finished result and highly recommend them.

Art and his team did an excellent job. My roof had some leaks but lots of facia (75 feet) with rot and water damage along with old gutters that were removed. Roof was 40 years old and at end of life so new underlay, wood repair and resetting tiles were all needed. The repair teams cleaned up every day, were respectful and easy to have working while doing an excellent job. I'm now ready for the first rains this fall thanks to Art and his excellent workers.
